Dear Friends:

I am writing this note with a very sad heart.  On April 25, 2015, a massive earthquake measuring 7.9 on Richter scale hit Nepal burying the country’s history, temples, and thousands of people infants to elderly, under its collapsed structures. Hard hit were the central regions – mostly Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur. However relief work from all over the world has reached Kathmandu, the capital city, it is also true that those assistance have not reached some other hard hit districts namely Kavre, Sindhupalchok, Nuwakot, Gorkha and Dhading.

Hamro America is raising earthquake relief funds for the victims in Nepal.  Please make your donations to by clicking on the link - https://life.indiegogo.com/fundraisers/hamro-america-nepal-earthquake-relief-fund/x/10661842

All the contributions will be evenly directed between two organizations:

1) America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF), a U.S. based 501(c)3, is among the few who have reached out to earthquake survivors in and outside the Kathmandu valley. What you should know about ANMF before you donate?

• 100 percent of the donation goes to the intended hospital and victims

• Every one at ANMF is a volunteer with ZERO pay and no overhead cost

• Our ANMF members are on the frontline with accurate knowledge of culture and geopolitics

• Most of the members are the children of Nepal working with zeal and transparency

• Most of us are doctors, nurses and medical professionals

You may also donate directly to ANMF by clicking the link below:

And

2) Hami Nepali Youth Club, an organization emerged out of the unmet needs of the earthquake survivors in Nepal. The initiators of this organization are mostly young professional engineers who are doing everything in their strength to reach out to survivors in remote areas in and outside of Kathmandu and those who are abandoned by the government or other agencies. You can learn more about their relief work by visiting their website at http://haminepali.org and stay in direct contact with them by joining their Facebook group at activities https://www.facebook.com/groups/1435399850106722/

Please donate. In this dark times, every dollar counts as millions of Nepalese walk the walk of survival.

Also if you can spread the word among your personal and professional network that would be much appreciated.  If you have a fundraiser coming up, please say a word about the Nepal Quake and please urge people to make donations.

Kind Regards,
