Ended up sitting at the bar for brunch because our reservation didn't go through or something. Couldn't have been happier with that. The owner Immanuel kept bringing us his favorite things and every single item was delicious. He also wouldn't take NP for an answer on keeping our mimosas topped off. 10/10 would go back again.

Great Turkish brunch. My friends introduced me to this gem of a restaurant. I believe this to be this best brunch in the city. $32.99 include unlimited Mimosas & Bloody Mary's and instead of a buffet style you order from their tasty menu as many courses as you want. It's a good way to try something new and delicious, from flat bread pizza type dishes, to french toast, and their take on a benedict. Oh their fresh made pita was amazing!

One of the best restaurants in the area. Outdoor seating, plenty of tapas options. Friendly staff. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

Great Mediterranean cuisine at this humble Dupont restaurant. Decent service and incredible food especially during their brunch.

We are from the Toronto area of Canada, and visited AGORA in August 2014 on a warm summer night, when their patio was full and the smells were inviting. We were seated inside, where the tables are too close to each other for my comfort. We were not disappointed with the food, as our waitress was patient and explained the dishes (small dishes) to us. The taste is heavenly. Every item is cooked to perfection, and by the time we were done, all six of us (including two vegetarians) were pleasantly satisfied. There is something for everyone. The salads (we loved Htipiti and Ezmeh) are nice. We loved the Ottoman rice, the goat kebab on eggplant gravy was very tasty and chicken kebabs were juicy, and the dish made from grilled eggplants(forget the name) was simply divine! Although the Turkish coffee is supposed to be something special, I found it is more like hot black strong unfiltered nog going down my throat! The thing we disliked was 20% gratuity is automatically added to your check(they probably deserved it that night), and it gets too loud as tables are practically touching each other.

Really good overall, actually pretty excellent. Very skillfully prepared recipes and beautiful presentation without being stupid. Don't expect to leave feeling stuffed, without spending quite a bit of money, but you will be satisfied by the quality and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Food: some dishes are good (the tomato jam that comes w/ cheesy phyllo pastry, falafel was ok) but others are a little underwhelming (ottoman rice). Ate vegetarian, and there was a decent variety (but less so than other tapas places in DC). All dishes are well-presented. Portions are small tapas plates. Beer and wine list isn't bad. Service: service was fine, although it was a little "pushy" to get us out the door on a Thurs. night (they were full, but not overflowing). Ambience: This is where Agora could use some improvement. The interior is quite nice, but the floorplan is way too packed. Management should remove a few tables. I understand this is Dupont Circle, and real estate is tighter, but you can get just as good/better food at comparably-priced restaurants without being an indirect part of your neighbor's conversation.
