The winter months tend to bring a bit of focused creativity and cyber growth. This winter I set up two Zazzle stores. One for all of my Feldenkrais graphics & designs. The other for our Lurchers, Bodhi & River. There is still a lot to be added...but it's a pretty good start.

I am super-duper-uber excited that +A Space To Grow has been chosen as a Semi-Finalist for the Idea Cafe's most recent grant!

However, I (we) need your help to win it. Please consider taking a little less then 5 minutes to register and vote and maybe even leave comment on the page and share it socially.

Your vote would help us to bring you weekly videos to keep you moving, inspire mindfulness, support your meditation practice, and offer tips & more for parents, pregnancy and preconception. That's a whole lotta goodness for less than 5 minutes of time :)

You can find out more and vote at the link below:

Feldenkrais Method & Musical Mastery

Josh Schreiber Shalem shares his own experience with a style of playing that was so effortful that it resulted in debilitating hand pain which kept him from playing for several years. He will demonstrate the effect this work has had on his own playing, so you can see and hear how easier, more self-aware playing results in better music as well as less injury.

You will also get to experience a few mini-movement-lessons that you can take directly into your daily practice!

Feldenkrais Method & Musical Mastery

Would you like to become aware of the intimate relationship between the way that you use your body and the music that you create? You know those masters of their art who seem to make music effortlessly? What if that effortlessness is not so much the result of mastery as it is a path to mastery?

In this Feldenkrais for Musicians workshop you will experience how becoming aware of yourself and what you are doing can make a difficult task more achievable once you stop trying so hard. We will also explore how to apply this sort of awareness to the art of practicing and making music.
