I'm still waiting on Google to put Kramer's back on maps...but I'm just so glad they are here in reality, and don't know what I would do without them! Kramer's offers a selection of grab-and-go refrigerated, frozen, and shelf-stable health foods and drinks in their store, but the best part is a cafe on the upstairs level which serves VERY flavorful, fresh vegetarian as well as vegan offerings. The lunch combo special allows you to choose an entree, plus soup and fresh vegetable juice for around $7 (plus tax).

Kramer's is a health food gem in the Chicago Loop. There are a significant number of healthy to-go vegan and raw vegan meal options. The staff is consistently creating new item and there is a raw food specialist on site that does monthly raw food prep classes. There are all sorts of supplements and nutrition options that will help you obtain optimum health. Visit the cafe upstairs and get a daily lunch special which includes freshly prepared juice. My new favorite item is the beet, apple & ginger juice that is tasty and healthy. If you happen to see the vegan bacon chocolate chip cookie you must try it. Pass on the baked polenta - it's overpriced & under flavored. I also noticed that the vegetarian gyros are significantly smaller with little veggies. Otherwise, prices are reasonable (though they have increased significantly over the past year) and the benefits to your health is priceless!

I used to love this place for cheap, quality, healthy lunches. I'm not a vegetarian, thought I try to eat healthy a few times a week. Unfortunately, since the departure of the Diaz brothers (~Sept. 2011, does anyone know if they are somewhere else now?), the food quality has suffered drastically. I get that healthy food isn't going to be as savory as the processed stuff, but it can still be edible. Now the food is not properly cooked (burned rice, overcooked vegetables, inconsistent recipies from week to week). If it's not broke, why break it... hopefully it gets better, until then I feel sorry for the guinea pigs

Don't know why it's called Bonne Sante Health Foods on here. The last time I checked this place was still "Krammer's". Krammer's is the perfect place for people who work in the south loop and want to get a health conscious lunch. It's pretty much the only place that has raw food options in that area. Make sure you walk to back and upstairs; there's a cafe there with smoothies, juice, lunch, salads, soup and more. The front is just a health food store. They have some lunch deals that are a good price for the quality.

How can this possibly be my first time? Kramer's is the health food store I grew up in all over again, plus a great cafe, located in the Loop. I look forward to becoming a regular here.

Best lunch deal in the loop. Spanikopita, huge soup, fresh juice: $5(ish) Warning: soup is super hot (maybe not great on a 100 degree day) and doesn't have any salt, but they've got some there to add.
