If I could put 0 stars I would have. Gary has to be the most arrogant, BS'er sales person we've ever experienced! I wouldn't spend a dime with them unless you are happy with lower than expected results, zero communication and not honoring what was discussed! We spent over $5,000 with them in November, 2012 with the understanding that 2012 was a bad year for trees and that these 18 trees/evergreens we bought should be fine BUT if they aren't, they would be covered. Yeah, right!!! We started calling in March or April because we wanted to start another project that they were keen on quoting. It's December 8th and the amount of phone calls, complete lack of communication not only with us but with Gary and his employees has been a complete joke! And another reviewer wrote....they don't listen to what you want anyway! Gary completely 'dissed' our deck that we designed and built by saying 'the improvements that we wanted to do for the landscaping didn't match the quality of the deck.' Also, we like contemporary designs and 'that sorta thing isn't done in Wisconsin!' Are you kidding me?!!! As a sales rep, if I EVER treated my customers like this, I wouldn't have any at all! We currently have about 6 trees that are dead.....Gary & Ziggy both have been out to our house on numerous occasions this year to look at the trees. And no, Gary (the owner) still hasn't put something in writing that he told my husband he would do 2 MONTHS AGO stating that WE would pay $125 per tree if they were still dead next spring. And why WE should have to pay anything is beyond me BUT we can't find the warranty information even though we had a verbal agreement with Gary. Gary is only concerned about his big commercial accounts like Harley, SC Johnson, Taco Bell etc. There's always an excuse for everything from Gary. What a complete joke! Don't waste your time OR your money and if you do decide to do business with them after all of these 1 stars, get EVERYTHING in writing including the warranty and don't just believe his BS!

We decided to go with Trees on the Move for our landscaping. They came in at a reasonable price for the work that was to be done. SEVEN WEEKS AFTER we signed the contract and gave them a $2000 deposit, Gary (the owner), contacted us and said that there was an error with how they quoted our job. No work had been done (although I got the runaround every week that they would be there at the end of the week, or beginning of the next, etc, etc) but the signed contract meant nothing to him. He said they would requote and we could start the whole process over. After I told him that we would like our deposit back with interest, he laughed at me and said that there was nothing in the contract that said he needed to give us interest back (although there is some wording in there about the customer paying them interest for late payments...interestingly enough). I let him know that word would get out and he told me that if I wanted to waste my time and money on an attorney and the Better Business Bureau, that I could go ahead and do so. So here goes!

UPDATE: Gary since seeing my review contacted us and will be replacing some of the trees for no charge in the spring and we will pay a small fee for the deciduous trees that aren't doing well. While we are thankful for his follow-up, it's unfortunate it had to come to this as this could have been resolved last summer.

We have an Old Historic home that was built with fieldstone and in a rolling hill. Our landscape project posed many challenges from irrigation issues to sun/shade problems caused by the elevation issues. Prior to engaging Trees, we consulted many local Landscaping firms. Trees, by far, had the best solutions, and a "we can do it" attitude - they wanted the job. Overall, it was not an easy project, and we were consulted throughout - implementing changes along the way. Zig was awesome to work with on the design phase, and when all was done - we were amazed and grateful. We were tough to work with, yet Trees stuck with the original bid and had the project done on schedule. I would highly recommend them!
