Outstanding work going on a GreenWave: ocean farming that restores oceans rather than depletes them, produces great food, creates jobs, and sequesters carbon, phosphorous, and nitrogen.

"This is zero-input food that requires no fresh water, no fertilizer, no feed, no arid land. It is hands down the most sustainable food on the planet."

Lots of press around this, but I loved the article on Medium: https://medium.com/invironment/an-army-of-ocean-farmers-on-the-frontlines-of-the-blue-green-economic-revolution-d5ae171285a3#.5cktwup2g

Star trek Continues is the absolute BEST fan-made TV ever. I'm so impressed, watching each episode is really a joy. These guys are getting really, really good!

And they are raising money to do more episodes. A great entertainment value investment in my book!

If you haven't tried Kiva micro-lending yet, now is a great time. You can make a free $25 loan if you sign up during this free trial offer.  :) It's how I got started with Kiva - risk-free and you get to see the whole workings.

Kiva is a great way to enable world-building and support of small business in third-world countries. You choose who will be helped by your loan and you can read their story and get updates as they make payments. It's a great way to make a difference. And so far I've seen 100% payback, all on time. Great folks, great strides, great community.

Have you discovered the joys of Kiva yet?

If not, this may be a good time. Micro-lending to families and small businesses in poor countries can really make a big difference.

Netflix members - here's a very worthwhile watch:
http://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/80026944

Four college students spend 60 days in Guatemala living on the average income per capita there - just $1 a day. They seek economic solutions and ways to help, but discover more than they bargained for.

When you're done watching, I'd bet my horse that you'll want to try Kiva for a loan to a Guatemala family. So here's one that could use your help:
http://www.kiva.org/lend/829780?_te=lew&utm_source=system&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=expiration_warning

The documentary will answer your questions about why a loan to upgrade a family kitchen will make a tremendous difference. Kiva borrowers are already vetted and qualified, with numerous innovative structures to keep success high all around.

It's a great way to help in a direct and effective way.

Jane McGonigal continues to stay relevant exploring the borders of modern gaming (not just computer games!) and health. This recent session at GSummit 2014: San Francisco was a new update that I was so glad to see.

I had a blast being one of the editors on +Christopher Dewey's new maritime mystery novel, "Deep Context"! I love the book and really appreciated the chance to work on it.

If you're a lover of underwater diving, globe-trotting adventures, history (Dude, the painting in the story is REAL and really a mystery - Google it! I love that!), and technically-correct mysteries, I'm betting you would love this book, too. A great time, fast read, good characters, and a plot that took me by surprise - which doesn't happen that often.

A big shoutout and big THANKS to Chris! I'll see you on the anchor chain, man!

Hey friends, gamers, and everyone -
Do you know any Pixel Artists?

We've got a small-scale video game (2D platformer) we're building for a client, and we need a good pixel artist to create our 32x32 tiles and sprites. This is a paid contract job.

Contact me for more details.  :)
