Not worth the 2 hr wait! My coworker saw this place on one of Anthony Bourdain's television episodes. She sold me on the pictures on Yelp! What a disappointment. What We Ordered - Crab Back - Small Sashimi - Crab Cocktail - A Dozen Oysters The Crab Back was COLD. You would think it would come warm/hot? Odd. I still ate it all seeing how it was the last one they had when we were seated. (There were more after the fact...I wonder what temperature those were lol.) Anywho, the Small Sashimi came with scallops, tuna and salmon. The tuna and salmon were NOT fresh!! It tasted weird and fishy. The scallop sashimi was on point! The Crab Cocktail was okay. Basic. The oysters were a tad small and not as fresh as the ones we had the day before at Hog Island Oyster. I won't be back! :(

This restaurant is so overhyped it's ridiculous. We arrived 30 minutes before their posted opening time and they were already open, which was nice because we only had to wait 5 min for a spot. That was just about the only good part of our experience. Nothing we had at this place tasted particularly fresh or delicious. Their famous clam chowder had no clams whatsoever, and was thin and watery. The oysters also were not at all as advertised. We ordered some kumamotos. This is one of my favourite varieties of oyster, for their meatiness and creaminess. These kumamotos were neither, and there were a ton of shell fragments (awful shucking). We also ordered a scallop ceviche and half crab. The scallop was fine but nothing to write home about. The crab also was only OK, and they insisted on smothering it in dressing. Good fresh crab should never need any dressing. We ended up paying over $70 just for the above. In short, this place is overpriced and overrated, and most certainly not worth any kind of wait. If you have any standards at all for your seafood, AVOID THIS PLACE!

Worth the wait. The seafood was very fresh. I ordered the chowder, combination seafood cocktail and some oysters. All were great. My friend ordered the half cracked crab which was probably the best out of everything! Sold out of their famous uni which was a bummer! Service is slow, but just gotta go there with the expectation that you'll be there for a while.

Not bad, but also not worth waiting in the line that Anthony Bourdain so selfishly created.

Not so secret secret gem. This place is family run and really, cute! Be there early, although it has no website, you'll have to question for 1h ish.

Super fresh seafood and wonderful staff! Everything is good, from raw oysters to seafood cocktail to crab and clam chowder. Seating is very limited in this small place, so expect a wait. They usually close by 4:30, when all the good seafood items are gone, so it is best to come early. Their sauces are delicious, and go well with the fish and crustaceans. I believe many people purchase fish for sashimi st home too, so I'll be coming back soon to grab some!

Friendly counter style service. Amazing selection. The menu is almost overwhelming. Dont miss the smoked salmon. Wash it down with a Stella. Totally worth the wait in line

Very small place. Line out the door. Super fresh seafood. When we are in town, my wife and I always make it a point to go here. Recommendations are the crab salad, clam chowder, cracked Dungeness crab. My wife always gets a dozen oysters, she has no idea what to get so the very helpful staff make the selections for her. She hasn't been disappointed yet. If you are going for lunch and don't get there by about 11:00am, plan on waiting a while in line. The place only sits about 15 people. But, you can order a beverage and drink it while you wait. And it is definitely worth the wait (if you like seafood).
