Have you ever heard of family violence? It can have dangerous consequences for your children. If you want to be informed, make sure to read our article: http://bit.ly/1Jqlc9f
In 1981, the Georgia legislature enacted the Family Violence Act (FVA) in an attempt to bring an end to acts of family violence, or at the least, to provide courts with the authority to order temporary relief as it deems necessary to protect a potential victim from family violence.

In regards to my specific legal matters, I extend high appreciation and praise to my attorney, Christine Ulich, for her representation, counsel, guidance and navigation. I also extend my thanks to Lynn, Brittni, Amy, and the rest of the Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor team for their efforts related to my case. While I am sure that they all have participated in matters much more complicated than mine, it was much more challenging than I anticipated and I could not have asked for a better team representing my interests. More significantly, to me at least, I thank Christine for her care, compassion and support. She received, handled (tolerated?) and managed my emotions, frustrations, and challenges with tremendous grace. Throughout the process, I knew that she had my best needs, interests and desires in mind and at heart. I can go on and on with my appreciation . . . While my hope is that I will never again need family law representation, I certainly now know where to turn if I do.

Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor have handled several of our family cases. The attorney's are professional and thorough. We recommend the firm when asked for a referral and will continue to turn to them as legal experts for any litigation that may come our way: family, civil or as the case may be, criminal. Thanks to Ryan for handling my sons' case!! And Thanks to Lance for handling mine!!

I just want to extend my gratitude to you Michaela. You granted a whole family happiness that day. Four of my family members traveled here from Pittsburgh and Florida to see the kids. And you made it happen. I chose you because a felt an honesty in you. When you were sitting next to me in the court room, telling me you were nervous it did not make me feel less confident in you but that I was with one of my friends being honest with me and we were in this together. You are an amazing lawyer. Thank you so much. Dean DiEmidio My experience with Attorney Michaela Mericle has been thankful choice. I have from day one felt like she was invested in my case (my life). I did not want to be involved with a law firm that sells you upon interview, then throws you into the machine. She has been personable, caring and thoughtful of all my concerns. She took a huge load of stress off a already weighed down father.

Worst experience I have ever have. I thought my attorney was representing me but in the end I felt like I left even more confused and $7,000 out of pocket for a divorce. The attorney was more concerned about making sure my ex husband was happy rather than myself and three children. I was of course under a great deal on emotional distress but hoped that I would have been assigned an attorney whom had my best interest in mind. After 8 years I am still paying for the mistakes the attorney had made, not to mention the outrageous fees they charge. Since my experience I have heard similar stories. They do not care about your life. They just want your money.

You are absolutely correct in that a divorce is a very emotional situation. We pride ourselves in working closely with each client to set and achieve realistic goals given each unique situation. Without those goals, no outcome will ever be satisfactory. As we have communicated to you in the past, Mary Montgomery would be happy to discuss any concerns you may have.

The Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor team is excellent - especially the attorney I worked with, Jenni, . During the time we worked together on my case I had a lot of questions which she answered straight and quickly. If she wasn't available to me at the moment I needed her, she made sure someone would be. The firm as a whole is smart, professional and most importantly, caring. I highly recommend them

This review is for Jennifer Brown (FKA Jennifer Farmer) with Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor. At the beginning of this year (2013) I found myself unexpectedly faced with the reality that my wife of 10 years and I were going to end our marriage in divorce. Simply stated, this was the second most difficult thing that I had ever been faced with. I soon realized that I needed to select an attorney for my defense as well as for the protection of my assets that were accrued both pre and post marital. I had planned on meeting with several attorneys and Jenni, as everyone calls her, was the first one that I met with. We sat and talked for quite a while as she took notes. She wanted me to start as far back as I thought was applicable and tell her every detail up to the present. The meeting was so much more that I had anticipated. I had no idea that so many emotions would rise to the surface like they did. The fact that I was talking to a total stranger, and a beautiful young attorney at that, set the stage for what could have been an incredibly awkward moment. It wasn’t at all. Jenni has a way about her that makes you feel totally at ease. She listens carefully and asks all of the appropriate questions in order to prepare the best case possible. Although she is young, her experience is quite evident and she is well connected in the legal community. Besides being an excellent attorney, Jenni really does care about her clients and shows just the right amount of compassion. Attorneys are generally not known for this but it is one of many attributes that makes her excel. Honestly, I have nothing but praises for her. I would also like to mention Lynn Congdon who is Jenni’s Senior Paralegal. She is a crucial part of the team who is generally behind the scenes doing her part to ensure success for the client. And lastly, Anne Campbell, the Account Manager. She was always on top of things and excelled at keeping me informed as to where my money was being spent. As a bonus she is an incredibly nice person and a pleasure to work with. In summary, if you find yourself in need of legal representation concerning family law, do not hesitate to call Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor and ask for a meeting with Jennifer Brown. You will not regret it!

I cannot thank Ryan Proctor enough for his help in getting me through the worse time of my like, my divorce. The divorce lasted some 20 months. During the first few months, I went through two other attorneys before find Ryan. With his guidance we were able to strategically docus our resources of time and money where it would be most beneficial. My ex outspend me by more than 3 to 1, but did not get the results she wanted. Her attorneys were predatory but Ryan always had my best interests in mind. With Ryan's insight, perspective and experience, the case ended in a resonable judgement. I can and have highly recommended Ryan Proctor and Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor Law Firm to anyone who needs legal help.
