Our Provider of the Week is Kelly Davis, MD.
Dr. Davis is board-certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Primary Care Sports Medicine. She specializes in general sports medicine, concussion management, injury prevention, and fracture care for children, adolescents, and young adults.
Dr. Davis received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California San Diego, before attending Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia for medical school. Upon graduation, she completed a Pediatric Residency at CHOC Children’s Hospital Orange County and stayed an additional year to serve as Chief Resident of the Pediatric Program. After residency, she completed a fellowship in Pediatric Primary Care Sports Medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. During her training, she has co-authored a book chapter and written several journal articles.
During her time at Vanderbilt University, she served as a team physician for a high school and for several collegiate teams including Vanderbilt football, baseball, cross country, track and field, and Belmont University men’s and women’s basketball, track and field, cross country, tennis, baseball, softball, soccer, golf, and cheer. In addition, she was one of the team physicians for the Nashville Sounds, a minor-league baseball team who are the Triple-A-affiliate Oakland A’s.
Dr. Davis remains active as an athlete. She has played soccer and tennis since childhood, and continues to play competitive tennis today. She and her husband live in Orange county and enjoy hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors with their dog and new born son.

Our Provider of the Week is Jeffrey L Dobyns, MD.
Dr. Dobyns practice expertise includes:
• Anterior approach Total Hip Replacement
• Total Knee Replacement
• Sport Medicine
• ACL Reconstruction
• Arthroscopic Surgery
• Children’s and Adult Fractures
He likes to spend time with patients and will attempt non-operative treatment whenever possible.
Dr. Dobyns graduated from medical school at U.C. Irvine, where he earned AOA Medical Society Honors. His Orthopedic Surgery residency training was completed at Harbor-UCLA Medical center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Dobyns is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. As a member of the CHOC Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital medical staffs, he is active in hospital, emergency, and outpatient care. He is Director of the CHOC Fracture/Trauma clinic, and has been past Chairman of the St. Joseph Orthopedic department.

Our Provider of the Week is John A. Schlechter, DO.
Dr. Schlechter is a board certified fellowship trained Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopy for children and adolescents.
Dr. Schlechter received his Bachelor of Science degree at Arizona State University, before attending the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine at the New York Institute of Technology. Upon graduation he served as Chief Intern at Peninsula Hospital Center, part of the North Shore University Health System in New York. Dr Schlechter completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Riverside County Regional Medical Center, here in Southern California, where he is currently the Director of Orthopedic Education and Research and Assistant Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program director. He completed a Pediatric Orthopedic and Scoliosis fellowship at Children’s Hospital San Diego as well as a post-fellowship preceptorship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at the Orthopedic Specialty Institute in Orange, CA. He has authored numerous book chapters and articles in peer reviewed Orthopaedic journals. He is an active part of the clinical faculty for the Western University of Health Sciences. He serves as team physician for several local high schools. He has participated in several orthopedic mission trips to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and remains interested in international orthopedics. He is a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America as well as the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Our Provider of the Week is Samuel R Rosenfeld, MD.
Dr. Rosenfeld is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery at University of California Irvine Medical Center, followed by a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Rosenfeld completed a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, California. He continues to be Director of the Spina Bifida Clinic at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Rosenfeld has been an active staff member at Children’s Hospital Orange County and Children’s Hospital Orange County at Mission since 1983. Dr. Rosenfeld is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of California, Irvine.
He is a Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America. Dr. Rosenfeld is a national expert in neuromuscular diseases and he is director of the Spina Bifida Clinic, Muscular Dystrophy Clinic and Spasticity Clinics at Children’s Hospital Orange County. Dr. Rosenfeld has provided leadership expertise and has served as President of the Medical Staff at Children’s Hospital Orange County, as well as leadership roles in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the California Orthopedic Association. Dr. Rosenfeld is also a member of the American Orthopedic Association.

Our Provider of the Week is Francois D Lalonde, MD.
Dr. Lalonde’s areas of special interest include childhood and adolescent hip conditions (DDH, Perthes, SCFE, femoro-acetabular impingement), foot co
nditions, fractures, cerebral palsy, benign bone tumors, limb lengthening, acquired and congenital deformities, and general Pediatric Orthopaedic conditions.
Dr. Lalonde graduated from medical school at the University of Toronto in Canada. He completed his internship in pediatrics at the Montreal Children’s Hospital/McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and his residency in Orthopaedic at the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
He subsequently completed two years of subspecialty training in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and at Children's Hospital San Diego, California.
Dr. Lalonde is certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is a member of the Volunteer Clinical Faculty in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. He obtained his Masters of Education (Higher Education, Health Professional Education) at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is a member of several professional medical organizations including the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, the (AAOS) and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
Dr. Lalonde was selected and completed the AAOS leadership fellows program. He serves on the board of the California Orthopaedic Association. He is president-Elect of the medical staff at CHOC Children’s Hospital and is president of the Adult and Pediatric Orthopaedic Specialists (APOS) medical group.
Dr. Lalonde is married with three children ages 12 and 10 (twins). His extra-curricular interests include a passion for sports. He continues to play ice hockey in an adult recreational league.
His philosophy of care includes an emphasis on communication and engagement of the patient and their family in formulating a treatment plan for their orthopaedic condition. He values collaboration with allied health care professionals in the treatment of his patients and the importance of keeping current on new and innovative treatment protocols and surgical techniques.

Our Provider of the Week is Carl R Weinert, MD.
Dr. Weinert completed his undergraduate, medical, and orthopaedic education at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1979, he established the first pediatric orthopaedic practice in Orange County. As a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCI, he has trained hundreds of orthopaedic and pediatric residents, medical students, nurses, physical therapists, and pre-med college students. He is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
Dr Weinert directs the program for treatment of children with clubfoot, and also the musculoskeletal tumor program at Children's [hospital of Orange Co. His clinical and research interests include bone cysts and benign tumors, clubfoot, and hip reconstruction.
Dr. Weinert is an accomplished amateur musician. He plays many instruments, and enjoys customizing the treatment of orthopaedic injuries to the special needs of performers.
Dr. Weinert also has a vast experience in the treatment of children with hip dysplasia and other congenital deformities, gait abnormalities, neuromuscular problems, and musculoskeletal injuries. He has trained in and performs the Ponseti method of clubfoot management.
In addition to the main offices in Orange and Mission Viejo, Dr. Weinert also sees patients at a satellite office in Irvine.
