Castle is one of my favorite shows. I know that in reality, this would never happen in any police precinct for any reason, but there is a certain grit to it that makes it seem believable. That, and it is fun, so I ignore most of what would not be happening in real life. The one thing that throws me off is the totally unrealistic relationship Castle has with his daughter. No matter what other improbable things I can ignore, the one thing I can't is a problem-free relationship of a single father with his teenage daughter. Never any teen angst, disharmony, and everything is solved with a small chat and a can of Reddi-Whip. Except for last nights episode (10-28). Finally, Castle and Alexis have a genuine, real exchange for the first time. I won't give anything away, but you will definitely know it when you see it.
