All about Clairet ! And my special selection by +Régis Chaigne. #Bordeaux   #wine   #different   #pink   #raspberries
Contrary to the better range of Vicky's wines, that gathers wines from my family and a selection with my community, I have chosen them for the very particular character of the wines and winemakers. Very committed to their appellation that should be better known, they are recognized for their ...

“Flowing, pretty, red-fruited contents being utterly delightful and true to the character of Beaujolais’ Fleurie region.”. David Williams, The Guardian, Novembre 2015 (about Vicky's Fleurie 2013)
Vicky's Fleurie was selected amongst the 3 wines of the week by David Williams in The Guardian, it was late November 2015 and I am telling you all about it today. The year 2016 starts fast, the fog reminds us, at least when we drive, that we should not forget to set the “slow life” mode.

Smart atmosphere, good wine selection - I'm sure it is perfect for a date, less appropriate for big groups of friends but it is seriously too expensive.

I was there for a dinner made on German Riesling theme, we were about 40 people having the same meal. The kitchen had a hard time bringing the dishes hot and the quality was poor. I was also very disappointed by the lightening and modern setting that lacked of warmth and charm. On a normal day the wine list is good and I'm sure one can find a better experience. I just wouldn't go there for an intimate cozy dinner with a friend.

Even if it's not Right downtown you'll only need a few minutes of walk. Beautiful seleciton of Loire Valley Wines from the natural to the classics, I loved "Effusion" the Anjou blanc from Patrick Baudouin . Come here for the tartines, the atmosphere and certainly the cheesecake.

The perfect place to impress your dad, get a Burgundy wines lesson or enjoy your passion for pinot noir and chardonnay. In a very art deco style, chic and decadent, you will be able to enjoy one or many of the 2500 reds and 800 white beautifully presented in the wine book that you have as a menu. Carole Colin - one of the two owners - and her passion for Burgundy are who to thank. The sommelier Franck-Emmanuel Mondesir will realise your dream, you can trust fully his wines suggestions while enjoying a nice cheeky chat. If you like eating while drinking, the bar proposes a terroir selection of charcuteries and cheeses as well as some gougère (the Burgund version of a chou). For dinner, the new chef Julien boscus makes it happen with a refine bourgeoise cuisine that will match the wines perfectly. Grandiose !

Very good experience at lunch time where the menu is at a really good price to quality ratio. Inside, Warm and luminous, travel pictures to give your mind a break but only 30 sits so you feel home. I loved the black pudding and apple millefeuillle, the boss adventurer look and most of all, the fact that you can try the wines before ordering any.

Old building with modern lightening, Friendly and knowledgeable staff, from Beaujolais to Bordeaux going through New Zealand, a very diverse wine selection by the glass. The adaptation of sushi on a more European style are some to try even though then'll never beat the authentic version. BONUS: late hour opening!
