Great article by @BryanaCielo on college recruiting tips for swimmers but much can apply to other sports. One tip in particular high school athletes should know is you are allowed to contact any coach via e-mail at any time. This includes sophomores and freshmen. During that time, however, coaches are only allowed to send general info via snail mail. As a sophomore & junior, your job is to fill out recruiting forms of any college you are interested in swimming for. Be sure to fill out as many of the fields as possible, as accurately as possible. This will create a file of your information in the coach’s office. http://ow.ly/LEgny

A high school athlete’s social media presence can ruin their chances for a scholarship. College coaches and admission personnel are watching. Athlete's should use their social media in a way that paints them in a positive manner through volunteer efforts or community outreach. http://ow.ly/KTwO4
