NFL Strength and Conditioning coaches know how to get the most out their athletes. So it says something when a current NFL Strength and Conditioning Coach comes to us to get the most out of his kids.

I think we have all been guilty of this at some point.

When sprinting your body acts as a spring. Strengthen your core so you will create a stronger human spring. You want to minimize the amount of time your feet are on the ground when sprinting and your core acts as a bridge between your lower and upper body to create a stronger spring. If your core is weak and if there is too much rotation when sprinting, you have “energy leaks” and lose the ability to put maximum force into the ground. Gain core strength with these exercises!

Here at Parisi Speed School, we don’t count our athlete’s better times, higher reps, and overall athletic improvement as our greatest success. Our greatest victory is the increased confidence and self-esteem that counts in the kids that we train. #TrainToWin

How speed starts to define a baseball player & their position.

An aspect of the game that tends to be overlooked or under-emphasized in baseball is speed & speed training. As you get older, the game gets faster. If you don't keep up, you get left behind. Players often finish their careers because the game just got too fast. As a player goes from level to level, their speed or lack there of, starts to pigeon hole or expand the positions they can play. Faster players up the middle and slower players on the corners. The first thing a baseball player does at a showcase is run a timed 60 yard dash. From there, coaches and scouts are either intrigued or turned off. If your time is not good enough you need to be able to show another plus side to your game. Do not get hypnotized by the false notion that baseball is a "slow" game. It may be boring and slow to some, but those critics do not completely understand the game. Want to have the opportunity to play the positions you love and play them longer? The Parisi Speed School in Bristol, Enfield and Hartford can help get you started! Also, check out the link. It will shed some more light on specific positions and what coaches/scouts are looking for.
