1) I do not believe a 3-yr old could cause that much injury to an infant! And WHERE was Morley when this was suppose to have been incurred? 2) I believe the state law needs to be changed; '''to even consider a finding of '''guilty of negligent homicide'''' and a year or less sentence for intentionally killing a defenseless human being is totally ridiculous and an insult to the victim and the family. And in closing it would be nice to beat the s... out of her and put her in prison for LIFE!!! Better yet, a firing squad would be even better, wouldn't cost as much.

How can a person who is responsible for two children for the day, have 2 children in a car; get out with one child, watch ONE CHILD all day long not realizing she is to be watching TWO? I truly hope they hold her responsible without making up tons of excuses for her non-action.

Too bad her children were not as important to her as her drugs were, that is what they can tell her children when they get older, then maybe they won't do drugs!

What a tragedy !!! What I do NOT understand is why the Mother did not notice/look/observe/see there was no elevator there???? Was she perhaps on a cell phone/tablet or just spaced out and not paying attention? It is hard to NOT SEE an elevator when the doors open~~

I know parents may have to work today but I also feel 1) if you want a child YOU the parent cutback on your luxuries so a parent can be home for their child and not a babysitter; 2) if you don't feel you can be a parent 24/7 then perhaps you shouldn't have children; why have children when you leave them at a daycare from 5 or 6 a.m. till 5 or 6 p.m....I am happy the dog sensed the evil but wouldn't have happened if their was a more thorough background check and parents could share different shift jobs so one was always home.

Contributing factor could be'' bad tires '''!! Isn't the owner / driver of a car responsible for the condition of the car they are driving? Shouldn't the car be safe inside and out for passengers? I wasn't there but still sounds like distracted driving caused her to ram into the truck. And she should be guilty of a traffic citation for 1)if it was the roads, driving too fast for condition of; 2) not leaving enough space between vehicles!!! So much more. I hope the killing of her daughter last a lifetime and if I was her sister / brother who lost my children to her, I would find it extremely difficult to be around her.

And to avoid something like this happening to your baby,it isn't important enough for you to stay home with them? Get rid of the second car, high-priced vacations, cigarettes and all else that takes you away from your child. You wanted a child so figure out how to stay home and care for the child. If you can't be at home 24/7 with the child, alternate work schedule with your companion. Parents need to figure out what is important, luxuries or their child.
