Found out course is quite challenging. You have to hit fairway if not you might be in hazard or thick second cut which can be quite frustrating. Play safe and you have chance to have good number and be happy. Overall fun and challenging course. Love it.

Pretty nice course. Our round took us over 5 hours on a busy Sunday. So negate one star for that.

My husband and I enjoy golfing at Thorncreek because it is a challenging course and the staff are always professional and friendly. On Saturday we had an exceptional experience that we wanted to share. We enjoyed an early round of golf and decided to have lunch on the patio. Spencer runs the bar and grill and he is a great guy. My sister and brother in law joined us and we ordered The Philly Steak, The Club, The Pulled Pork and a Burger with Bacon and fried Jalapenos. Spencer took excellent care of us and after he served us our meal the only sounds at the table were all of us saying yum and oh my. Excellent lunch that we all highly recommend. After your round enjoy a meal, you won't regret it!

Way too many thorns in the creek. I thought it was just a name (Thorncreek), boy was I wrong. Two weeks in the hospital! Be careful, and stay vigilant if you wind up here.

Yikes... This is the course closest to my home. The first time we played it it wasn't bad. I'm not a fan of the greens being SO close to major roads, but the layout was pretty nice. The 2nd time was a tragedy. There were huge drainage problems everywhere. Large sections of fairways and even bunkers were taped-off due to damage. Oddly the greens were PERFECT. So It seems like a really coin-flip of a course. If you haven't golfed here... go for it. It's fun to play a new course, but be warned.

One of my favorite courses to play in the Denver area. The value of the rates are hard to beat and each time I play the course, it is in great condition. They space the tee times well so I've yet to have a real issue with the play backing up on the course. It is a long course and can play very difficult because of the slopes of the greens but it is a great course for the price. I can't comment on the food as I have never had it but, so far, I have yet to have a bad experience at Thorncreek. EDIT: In my original post, you can see that I said I've never had a problem with play backing up on the course but that is no longer true. The last few times I've played/attempted to play the course, it bottlenecks so badly around the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th holes. It's ridiculous. It was very frustrating two times in particular when I asked the clubhouse how the course looked and they said basically no one is on the course except for a group about 30 minutes ahead. So I bought the round, played two holes, and hit the bottleneck where a group of 4 was on the tee box of 3, a group of 4 was on the green of 3, a group of 4 was on the tee box of 4, and a group of 4 were finishing up on 4. I'm going to keep it at 5 stars because I've had so many positive experiences, but right now, it's starting to slip.

Seems to have good potential but doesn't appear to be well taken care of.
