I LOVE this place! Not only do they have *the best* cupcakes in town, but they also have a selection of local dairy foods. I stop in twice a week for local milk, eggs, yogurt and even butter. It's amazing. Great place to shop local and eat well.

I love cupcakes! I don't care what anyone thinks of me or them. We shall run away interlocking hand and tin foil wrapper. I love the rich creamy buttercream and cream cheese frosting. The whipped dollop of creme compliments the cake the same way milk goes with chocolate chip cookies. Kickass goes far beyond traditional chocolate and vanilla flavors in their mini cakedom factory. The Kickass Happy Hour had three bite size cocktail flavored cupcakes- mudslide, peach daiquiri, and lemon drop. All for free! I'm impressed by any company that gives anything away for free. But I must wonder with a dessert like a cupcake how can anyone eat more than just one? How Kickass makes a profit on this Happy Hour event remains a mystery to me. I know whenever I want a cupcake I can return on Monday from 5-7 and have one for free. And this is worth telling all my sugar toothed pals about.

I'm more writing this on behalf of my kids, who are always happy when I can hit the Kickass food truck. Favorites are the S'mores cupcake and the cookie dough. Red velvet is never a bad idea either. I personally go mocchiato when I decide I've earned a treat. Bonus points for participating in the Boston Can Share program!

Only the best cupcakes I've found in Boston, and I've been looking! Just the right size, creative and delicious flavors.

Simply the best cupcakes in the Boston area - and I've tried 'em all (and not ashamed to admit it!). The service is smily and accommodating, and the flavors are absolutely insane. I recently tried some special holiday flavors: Sam Adams Hard Cider (with soaked apples in the middle), Champagne (soaked strawberries), and Gingerbread Eggnog (Yulenog), and they were out of this world. Perfect for gifts and parties...and for sneaking off on your own for a little treat!

I hate to say it, but I was less than impressed by Kickass Cupcakes. Let's face it -- relatively low traffic means they have to raise the price on the product to afford things like rent at their (expensive Davis Square) location, and employee salaries. So you end up with things like $5 cupcakes. They're delicious, for the first couple bites, but the sheer volume is pretty overwhelming and the lack of complexity in, what's essentially a bunch of butter and sugar can make it difficult to swallow.

Interesting, creative flavors. Don't miss the Cocktail Cupcake Happy Hour -- free tastings of mini cupcakes (inspired by cocktails) on the last Monday of every month, 5pm-7pm. Get there early! Highlights: Green Monster, Cinnamon Chai Pecan Sticky, Mojito, Berry Crumbly, (Vegan) NuttyNan, Red Velvet, Pup/kitty-cakes (for animals!)
