First visit to Sonoma and unfortunately my last. Had annual work Christmas dinner there tonight and service was very lacking. Food was just okay for the price. Did I mention bad service? One of our party members had to get up and actually refill everyone's water glasses Very disappointed.

Happy hour with sister, told the bartender will like to use the Groupon before expire, she said can't use on happy hour menu, I said I understand, order 2 rack of Lamb, appetizer and wine, the Lamb is very small has too much fat and cook too rare, hard to chew, I order med-rare to med, take 3 pieces of lamb to go, ( 1 from me 2 from my sister) bartender told me that I can't take any food home with Groupon, I said I can't eat it, my husband will eat it later, ( because he like it rare) then she said, CAN"T feed your whole family with happy hour and Groupon!!!!!!! What ?????? when she bring me the check she said it again, and she said she let me go this time just don't do it again, I said please don't do me any favor, charge me whatever you suppose to charge me! The Groupon did not said can't take food home !!!! , only said no alcohol. the waitstaff / bartender shouldn't treat the coupon customer like they're cheap to use the coupon , for the $20.00 discount they make me felt cheap and disgrace and doing me a favor to take my left over home. if they feel like they are losing money from coupon customer, then they should not do coupon! for the price they charge,I hardly think they are losing money, $28.00 for 4 little tiny pieces of lamb with sauteed veggie. and beware of the wine price too, after happy hour is very high, for happy hour with Groupon we spend $120.00! ( last week no coupon, order the fish and a red wine flight, fish is dry and the wine by itself is $37.00 2 oz each, from Argentina, Spin and Ca. nothing outstanding except the price) Just beware! wine price change all the time, from $17 jump to $37. I try almost everything there, The grass fed beef and the dessert is not bad, scallop and the crab cake is ok too.

This place is great! I have been here a few times and the customer service is always consistently exceptional. The employes actually take the time to remember your name and go out of the way to ensure you have a good experience. I love having Emily (sommelier) help me find a great wine, she always makes the experience fun minus the pretentiousness.

Had expected this place would be great, but it turned out to be disappointing. Service was slow and inconsistent. Had to ask multiple times just to refill water. Other issues customers should consider: o Once they find out you are using a Groupon, their attitude noticeably gets negative and distant. I plan to notify Groupon. o They're wine selection is large, but very pricey. They offer 2 ounce and 5 ounce by the glass. The glass I had was $18.00 and was barely 5 ounces. Add to that anemic amount was the glass full of wine sentiment. When I ask the waiter, who took 20 minute a to come back to the table, to address this issue, he took the glass and said he would immediately fix this issue. I was thinking he will bring a new glass, but instead he brought it back. He says the bartender strained it. The glass had even less wine after that, like maybe 2.5 ounces. o Service was slow and we barely saw our waiter. Bus boys were very sloppy and at one point spilled water all over my wife and didn't even to apologize. They tried to take our plates several times before we were even done. We felt like they were trying to rush us out. o. Food portion size was ridiculously small given the medium priced items. I had fish, which was about a 3by3 piece over a very small portion of carrots. My wife had beef, which was almost raw and full of fat. o Final bill was $101.00, which was not commensurate with what we received. I left the place still hungry and annoyed. We will not ever patronize this place again. I'm not sure if this was all related to the Groupon, but they were all nice until they heard we had one. Beware!

Sunday Brunch was fantastic. Brunch and Lunch menu had a lot to offer without a distressing price. Although we didn't partake of the wines or mimosas the food and ambiance was pleasant. Food took a little longer to get to the table but not terrible. The waiter and service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The relaxed atmosphere was great for us and our friends to enjoy spirited conversation and an awesome meal. The Turkey Panini, French Toast, and Spring Omelet were superb. A definite repeat for us.

Dismal experience. I took my son's family and my wife there for supper. I should have realized when we walked in and saw that the restaurant was half empty when there was an hour wait at surrounding restaurants. The wine we ordered was mediocre, and Sonoma claims to be a wine bar. They were out of the filet I ordered and I agreed to a substitute strip steak, which was overcooked and somewhat tough. The couscous was too salty too eat, and when I complained, the waiter said that the chef said "It was a little salty", and took $10 off the bill. A good restaurant, in my experience, would have comped the entire meal. My son ordered shrimp and scallop pasta, which consisted of two shrimp, two rather mangled scallops, and a big bowl of pasta. The other meals were similarly poor. All this was not cheap. We would have been better off at a chain restaurant for less than half the cost.

Nice bar. Excellent wine selection. We had their full board of meat/cheeses and it was excellent.
