These are the most adorable twin boys! Twins are so fun to photograph and can be challenging at times. If you have twins and would like them photographed make sure you hire a professional who has lots of experience with children (in particular twins!). To see more go to: www.sarahstreets.com.au

DON'T STRESS OVER YOUR NEWBORN BABY.. Received this lovely review recently..

"Sarah is amazing!
The last thing anyone wants in those early days/weeks with a newborn is the stress of getting them, you and the whole family ready and carted off to a location for a photo shoot.
Sarah takes the stress out of this by coming to your home and capturing gorgeous moments. She is very friendly and is great with young kids (including grumpy toddlers!)
I am so happy with our family photographs and will cherish the memories she has captured forever!"

How to prepare for your family portrait session:

Family portrait sessions should be fun; not stressful. It is a good idea to prep your young children and tell them that the photographer to your house. Tell them that the photographer will pay some games with you and take our pictures and it will be lots of fun. You can also say that the photographer would love to see you **(insert fun thing your child loves to do here.)** Eg.  Show her your ballet dancing, show her your favourite dinosaur, show how you pick the beans from the garden.. ect. Just remember your children do not need to be perfect.. When they are being cheeky or what you might think is playing up; you can get the most beautiful and natural photographs, so have fun as a family together!

It is best to pick a time for your photography session when your children will be at their happiest, so whether this is early morning just after their breakfast or after their mid morning sleep. In all my years photographing families and children I have found that children under 12 years are best before 1pm as they tend to get more tired as the afternoon gets later, but as a parent you will know the best time for your children.

If you are wanting to know what clothing works best it is always something that you will feel comfortable in. Picking a colour scheme works really well. For example you might pick shades of blues and whites, so navy, light blue, royal blue, white grey ect will look fantastic and you can also throw in pops of complimentary colours such as a yellow necklace for mum or a red scarf or beanie for the kids. The most important thing is to love what you wear as these photographs will be hanging on your wall for years to come. Another good tip would be to limit or exclude shirts that have big logos or patterns such as stripes or spots as these can be distracting in your photographs as we want to focus on your faces and the interactions between family members instead of our eyes being drawn to mums bright floral top!

If you have any other questions about your photography session, please get in touch via email sarah@sarahstreets.com.au or phone 0412 099 554.
