Such a great crowd — thanks for the warm welcome (and the great turnout — over 350 photographers). Next stop — Orlando next Wednesday. Hope I'll get to meet some of you there. http://kel.by/scottkelbylive
Aside from that major limitation the display is exceptional and I'd highly recommend it.
Below is a crash report. One of nine in the past 6 hours. It happens each time I complete a task or in my case a tutorial since I've had the program less than 48 hours. I'm disappointed in the program operation at this point and would opt for a credit or refund if possible. It's sluggish and the response times are slow and on occasion non responsive. When I switch camera views the scene is incomplete and slowly loads different objects, (trees, buildings, the actual train consist.) I'd gladly trade this beta pre-order for a Trainz 2014 if possible? I have a late 2012 Mac mini that has a 2.3GHz Quad Core i7 Processor, 16BG Ram and over 118GB of free space on a 1TB Sata Disk so performance should be much better. I've tried every method I can come up with in reduction of processes running to narrowing my monitors of which I have three connected down to one. It made no difference in performance or the crash factor. Sometimes I have to open the program two times before the display screen doesn't crash before even proceeding. Also noted number 4 tutorial doesn't work properly.
I've indicated a number of issues and I'm not certain what your policies are or what kind of support I'm to expect but am hopeful that being a mac user isn't going to complicate matters.
I watched a lot of You Tube videos where the 2014 program worked flawlessly (Windows versions, I imagine) and was very impressed.
Having worked for BNSF Railway as a Locomotive Engineer for 37 years I have a fair amount of knowledge on rail transportation and I'm fairly savvy on computers as well. If it's just a matter of waiting until the Feb. 27th release and I can expect most of my serious issues to be corrected then I'm OK with that but past experiences with other vendors make me less than optimistic.
Thanks for your videos and info. MAG. Do you like the acronym "MAG pie?" Pie of course... being what you serve the community with your great videos!
