I'm a former locomotive engineer from Spokane, WA. I recognize that territory having worked the Wenatchee pool at one time.

My MOS was Multi-Engine Fixed Wing with the OV-1 part of our training. Went on to Germany and never worked on a fixed wing. Rotory wing only.

Hello MAG,  Happy New Year. I want to share with you a support ticket I submitted today to "simulatorcentral" primarily because after witnessing several of your videos. I'm new to this company and products but  pre-ordered the New T:ANE for MAC which has numerous issues as you'll see below. Perhaps Mac hardware and/or software is not your fort-ay but I couldn't think of anyone better to share this with and perhaps you can offer a tip or suggestion or two. I won't include the crash report unless you'd like to see it. It's lengthy of course and is two pay grades above my knowledge level. Here's the ticket info I filed:

Below is a crash report. One of nine in the past 6 hours. It happens each time I complete a task or in my case a tutorial since I've had the program less than 48 hours. I'm disappointed in the program operation at this point and would opt for a credit or refund if possible. It's sluggish and the response times are slow and on occasion non responsive. When I switch camera views the scene is incomplete and slowly loads different objects, (trees, buildings, the actual train consist.) I'd gladly trade this beta pre-order for a Trainz 2014 if possible? I have a late 2012 Mac mini that has a 2.3GHz Quad Core i7 Processor, 16BG Ram and over 118GB of free space on a 1TB Sata Disk so performance should be much better. I've tried every method I can come up with in reduction of processes running to narrowing my monitors of which I have three connected down to one. It made no difference in performance or the crash factor. Sometimes I have to open the program two times before the display screen doesn't crash before even proceeding. Also noted number 4 tutorial doesn't work properly.

I've indicated a number of issues and I'm not certain what your policies are or what kind of support I'm to expect but am hopeful that being a mac user isn't going to complicate matters.
I watched a lot of You Tube videos where the 2014 program worked flawlessly (Windows versions, I imagine) and was very impressed.

Having worked for BNSF Railway as a Locomotive Engineer for 37 years I have a fair amount of knowledge on rail transportation and I'm fairly savvy on computers as well. If it's just a matter of waiting until the Feb. 27th release and I can expect most of my serious issues to be corrected then I'm OK with that but past experiences with other vendors make me less than optimistic.

Thanks for your videos and info. MAG. Do you like the acronym "MAG pie?"  Pie of course... being what you serve the community with your great videos!

Big shout-out and many thanks to all the cool folks who came out to my seminar in Houston yesterday

Such a great crowd — thanks for the warm welcome (and the great turnout — over 350 photographers). Next stop — Orlando next Wednesday. Hope I'll get to meet some of you there. http://kel.by/scottkelbylive

I'm using the Samsung U28D590D and am very pleased it with. I'm limited to a 1440p due to my mac mini graphics card so haven't seen the 2160 mode yet.
Aside from that major limitation the display is exceptional and I'd highly recommend it.
