This place was pretty good but a little overpriced. Their mussels were delicious and worth the price but the other dishes looked mediocre and were expensive! The servers were nice and friendly and the restaraunt is in a good location.

Trying to right words to describe this place and all I can come up with is "basic". It's your basic pub/eatery. That's not to say that basic can't be done well, which in this case it is. We dined al a carte for the most part, as we were not too hungry, but we were thirsty, and they has a decent amount of solid drink choices. We made short work of the food, which was done very well. The roasted lamb meatballs were served over tzatziki and it was a nice balance of cool and hot, the butter lettuce and red romaine salad was also great and it was served with our cheese plate which all worked out great together. The drink prices are a bit steep in comparison to other places with more choices, but they're able to do that I suppose due to the location. Not saying it's a bad thing, it's just noteworthy, don't go here expecting a cheap date.

Welcoming atmosphere, Great comfort food but elevated beyond ordinary pub food. Something for everyone. Always delicious. Staff, manager and owner are all extremely friendly and polite. Frequent Village Idiot as often as I can.

Great place for drinks after work with co-workers. The staff is great and everyone working has a great personality. A great selection of whiskeys and draft beers. The prices are reasonable and they also have drink specials.

This is a great little place if you like beer. It has a good selection of American craft beers from microbreweries all over the U.S. Each one is only $5 too!!, but if it has a higher ABV like 8, 9 or 10 it comes in 8oz while anything lower is served in a 14oz glass. The service is good and fast and it seems like they have a lot of promotions going on. As they change their selection around a lot, they have a lot of breweries trying to promote a new beer, so often times will offer free drinks. A good little place to meet up with friends and try a new flavorful beer.

It is VERY loud in here no matter the time of day. This bar / restaurant has good drinks and food but don't expect to have a conversation. It is so loud and the place really echos. They have a great happy hour on the weekdays including oysters! On the weekends it gets pretty crowded with the 30 something crowd who still wants to go out but don't want to go clubbing. I also wouldn't bother looking for street parking as it is very difficult with the limited meters and permit parking in residential parking so stick with the valet.

I absolutely love this place. It really is Heaven for a fan of American craft beer. The bartenders have always been friendly and helpful. The clientele is young and laid back. It is really small, but even when it's busy, I still find it easier to navigate than Blind Tiger, which has been absolutely impossible at times.

Stumbled on this place, and have to say it was delicious. Great service, had the homemade sausage and broccoli cheese pie, both really good!
