I took my kids to eat there and we got our food to go. The manager was very rude and followed my boys around and harassed them. They wanted to get some cookies to go with their food, so they put the cookies on top of the container so they didn't get gravy and stuff all over the cookies. The manager forced them to put the cookies in the container with the gravy and other food and it ruined the cookies and the gravy. When we got home they wouldn't eat their food after be forced to mix everything together. Now they are afraid to go back there after the manager yelled at them. Also some of the food was old and looks like it had been sitting around for awhile.

I definitely like this new and improved look that Hometown buffet has now. The food spread definitely reminds me of a home gathering. The food are placed in casseroles and mini-pots. The crowd favorite here is the crispy fried chicken. Every time I come here for lunch, there are a few people asking for a new batch of fresh chicken from the kitchen. Unfortunately, I have seen a few people wait for nothing. Regardless, the veggies & side selections are paired well with the proteins. Family nights on thursday nights, 5-8pm - Kids eat free. Also, don't forget to take advantage of the military discounts are given.

Been going there for many years and always thought it was a reasonable quality and a good value. There has been a very noticable improvement in the variety and the quality of the food in the past 8 months or so. Everyone in my family noticed it so it wasn't just me. It has been consistent in each visit over the past 8 months. I would have given them 5 starts but I do wish their desserts were better. Many seem to be made with no/low fat or sugar which makes them pretty useless as desserts

Great value for money. Loved the Honey Glazed Ham, Taco Beef, Sirloin Steak and Bread Pudding. Taking away one star for neatness around the food serving area. Maybe this is because of the sheer crowd in the restaurant but here's what I'd want: Clean and dry plates, clean and dry cups, clean and dry silverware, clean and dry serving area. Instead, here's what I've seen in the two times I've been here: Salad serving area is dripping "wet", serving utensils are greasy, silverware is spotty. Overall I felt like if they just had a good dishwasher and one person walking around tidying up the serving area this place 'll be perfect (like my favorite - VIPS, South Korea).

Everything was great, except the individual pot pie. I was so looking forward to it, but it fell short! The meat in it seemed and looked like bottom of the barrel! It looked like the neck bones! My only other issue isn't with the food but rather the Coffee Cups. The new ones they are using now get stained and the stains are visible the minute you pick them up from the clean dish drainer. Everything else was great! The veggies tasted great and the macaroni and cheese was new and tasted excellent. The chicken legs had a freshly cooked taste along with the french fries and nacho cheese. The desserts were amazing as well!!

The new and revamped Home Town Buffet. You get your typical American buffet for a decent price. Their food is actually not bad. The buffet area do get messy and sometimes the food looks dry and old. I don't like when they stopped serving condiments I'm bottles. Now you got to use paper cups for the sauces which can get annoying. The steak is almost always well done also. Overall not bad for what it is.

My wife and I ate at this location last month. We found issues with many of the same things that we noticed on a visit about 12 months ago. (1) A number of food items don't have labels as to what they are. The labels hadn't fallen off...they just weren't there. (2) Some items are left too long in the serving pans before they're replenished with new product. This results in dry, chewy food. (3) No low or non-fat salad dressings were available on the occasions we visited. (4) Only chocolate soft serve was available on the day we visited. (5) Chocolate chip cookies weren't baked long enough. They were doughy rather than crispy and chewy. I likely won't eat here again.
