Loustic is found on a small side street close to Pompidou. I love Loustic for its seating arrangement; it is perfect to work on laptops, sit by oneself, or to catch up with a friend. The baristas are kind and the atmosphere is really friendly between the costumers. Coffee wise, they do a good job and offer both V60 and chemex. The pros are good wi-fi and cookies!

Don't like the attitude of owner, unfriendly and rude.

I stopped by this cafe because I was missing Chai Tea Lattes. Be warned, though I've heard a few people who love the drink here, I could not get past a few sips and had to give it away. It had a very, very gross taste. The artichoke quiche I ate was wonderful.

The only good thing here is the italian espresso machine. The service was slow, they kept switching between english and french just to play it cool (I speak fluently 4 different languages so it doesn't really impress me). We ordered an ice tea and a single shot espresso. The first arrived after 10min, the second after 20min! I asked Channa (I guess this is the name of the manager) to have some sugar and he look at me like I was a stupid because he says they "do not encourage sugar" (meaning they don't give you even if you ask for it). I tried to explain that, being italian, for me and the rest of the 60millions of italians, putting sugar is absolutely normal and he started explaining a weird, strange theory about the fact that they use 30% arabica and 70% robusta (like this should impress me again!!!). It's a shame because the place is nice but it's more a place to hang out and meet/flirt with others than to have a real espresso. Despite living 40m away from this place I will keep having my espresso at Pozzetto (rue roi de Sicile) where nice guys and real italian coffee (with sugar) are always available.

This is place is such a gem, I love it. Great coffee and an unbelievable chai tea latte (made with maple syrup)! The only downside is that they do not allow laptops after 1pm on Satudays.
