Even traditional Mexican desserts have chili within them. The chili helps create a nice melding of hot and sweet.

Carne Guisada is great NOT a lot of fat and it is really tender, Probably the best in lubbock. Good clean Mexican Food from Menudo to Tacos.

Excellent salsa with a big kick. Tea glass always filled. Montelongo's is my favorite for mexican food in Lubbock. Unfortunately, you must endure the worst mariachi band on the planet. They use volume to overcome their lack of talent.

A great place to stop for authentic Mexican cuisine. This place gets busy during lunch so be prepared to wait. Thankfully, this place is definitely worth the wait. Breakfast is served all day so huevos rancheros is always a good lunch treat.

Good food at a reasonable price. A bit crowded but the wait wasn't bad.

This place is always very consistent and good as we have been coming here a long time. Although my family and I did have a weird experience when they had a mariachi band playing. Not good in a small space with no carpet. I felt like the horns were playing directly in my ear. Their food taste fresh and homemade. Good mom and pop place!

This is a hidden treasure for authentic, delicious Mexican food. I've never had a bad experience or a bad dish here. I could make a meal out of the chips and FRESH made salsa. The tortillas are made fresh, too and you can tell. It's all fresh made and so good! Rudy is constantly looking for ways to improve and serve his customers. We'll be back soon and often!

I got two "burritos". One bean and cheese. One carne guisada. The tortillas were homemade and warm, this was about the only thing I liked. First of all these suckers cost me about $8. They were small, very small for that price. The beans tasted like they came out of a can. If you cannot not make decent beans, you probably should not open a Mexican restaurant. The carne guisada had good flavor, but the meat was tough and had ALOT of fat. There were at least three large pieces of just fat in my "burrito". the staff was quite nice though. but I definitely will not be going back. If you want my advice I think Jalisco's off AVE Q is better. I love mexican food and grew up with the best. I would not waste your time here. Jalisco's is cheaper and taste better to me.
