The room was spacious and offered great views on the trees. Breakfast was a buffet that also offered healthy choices like a wide variety in fruit. This hotel offered everything I look for in a hotel: a place to sit outside (to enjoy the sunshine, we have to miss most of the year in the Netherlands) and a bath robe, which feels so relaxing to put on after a shower. We weren't able to enjoy the pool, because on hot July day it was so crowded, all the beds and chairs were taken. Fortunately there was another place downstairs with comfortable benches where we could hang out.

We stayed at this hotel for my husband's 40th birthday. We had stayed there before and were very happy but will never stay there again. Our sheets had brown stains in one area and we can only assume it was dried blood from someone who had stayed previously. Needless to say we both were completely disgusted and repulsed. For a 5 star hotel this is completely unacceptable.

First room, 310. Apparently they don't put much effort into the lower floors as far as cleaning. Hallway was very dirty. Then our room's floor didn't look like it had been vacuumed, old food, dead ladybugs. Also the bathroom sink didn't drain well at all. So we went back down stairs. Front desk very nice, gave us complimentary drinks while the room was recleaned, however they never did vacuum the hallway. The next morning we opened the curtains to enjoy the view and the windows and curtains were covered in live ladybugs! I mean at least 50 or 60. Again we visited the front desk, they moved us, this time to the 6th floor. Again, ladybugs. Now moving up, 17th floor, ladybugs. At this point the very nice bellman, I'm sure tired of hauling luggage from floor to floor, called the front desk and arranged to have a room debugged while we were out for the day. That evening we returned and we're now placed on the 20th floor. The room was clean and only had one ladybug on the outside curtain. I suppose it could have been on our luggage from one of the previous rooms, but at this point we were tired of moving so I killed it and called it a night. I realize bugs get into every place but from the 3rd floor to the 17th? That's a problem. I just hope the hotel takes this seriously because it is a pretty building. They just need to pay a little more attention to cleaning. 4 and 5 stars you expect it to be clean and everything working properly. I agree with a previous review that they do nickel and dime you rather than providing services that much cheaper hotels provide for free. I mean, at this point in society internet should be free. Why in the world would you pay for internet? Reminds me of the airline industry charging for every little thing.

Overall the Intercontinental at Buckhead just satisfactory. There are better options in the area. The rooms are well appointed. They seem to be fairly clean. The major drawback is the service provided. When my key stopped working it took the staff half an hour to get me back into my room with me having to contact the front desk four different times. Next time I visit the area I will be staying elsewhere.

Poor food everything is bland and either sugarless or saltless. The red velvet cake tastes like it has a thick layer of dried out cream cheese paste on it. If they put sugar in that I can't tell. Also the texture of the cake AND the frosting are far from fluffy and must in any respect. This is awful.

I was traveling on business and staying at this hotel and uncovered that hotel security entered my room while I was sleeping to turn off my TV! I can't believe it, what a violation of my privacy!!! After speaking with the hotel manager i was told that they followed protocol and the hotel had the right to enter my room! It wasnt until the next morning i realized that someone was in my room. I was shocked by their response. There must be some law or protection of a customer's privacy. Will definitely not be staying here ever again. Make sure you lock your doors!!!!

BY FAR the best Hotel in Atlanta. This is the only Hotel I will stay at in ATL! Clean, friendly and helpful staff and an amazing Bar!!
