Come down and experience the Florida Keys in a unique way!
The so-called super moon over the Florida Keys Saturday night looked great but caused extreme tides, both high and low.

My Wife and I stayed here on the way to Key West one year, and we loved it! Great location, prices were what you would expect for a waterfront resort. The sunsets were amazing! Friendly staff & clean, comfortable rooms! We would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I were married here. One of the last "little places" in the Keys that hasn't been spoiled with development. Awesome staff, great spot - and the sunsets are absolutely amazing. Great for a quiet getaway.

I'm amazed by the reviews that talk about the "fabulous" rooms and "wonderful" accomodations. I've stayed in hotels, inns, resorts, and so on around the world. There is almost no stretch of the imagination that could call this place - as they do on their website - a "luxury" resort. I stayed there during the week of Feb 21 for 4 nights based on many of those reviews and was badly disappointed. The bathrooms are definitely the worst part of the experience. In my room (Room #12), the shower was an old, badly tiled enclosure that clearly hadn't been updated in at least 30 years or more. On the floor in the corners, the grout was almost black with who knows what. From the bedroom if the door to the bathroom was open, you could see right into the under-rim of the toilet, where more black stuff (mold?) was. The bathroom vanity was small and the lighting a grim fluorescent. There is no hook on which you can hang clothes or a robe. When wet, the floors in the shower are extremely slippery (I bought a bath mat for my mother-in-law to use while we were there). In the bedroom, you have one dim reading lamp. The box springs are covered with plastic wrap, presumably for guests prone to accidents? Furniture outside the bathroom is again very old and worn. The "couch" available for seating in room 12 is actually a foldout bed, so when sitting there for TV or bay watching you need lots of extra pillows for support. The staff is very helpful, and no doubt their courtesy and help yield the raves for this place. The setting on the bay is lovely also. Breakfasts are at best described as basic: some muffins, some watery juice, coffee, and apples. If the rooms here were gutted and updated to the 21st century, with clean and sparkling bathrooms with great lighting, well-appointed fixtures, and so on, this would merit the raves. Until then, at best the interiors are like the sort of cheap roadside motels leftover from the '50's and 60's that you find off the interstate. I felt badly cheated by the Inn's description of itself as a "luxury" resort. While in the Keys we found ourselves at Hawk's Cay Resort for lunch in Duck Key. THAT seemed to be a "luxury resort" - beautiful public areas, incredible views across the ocean, sparkling clean and modern bathrooms. Except for the views, nothing about the Coconut Palm Inn can be called "luxurious."

My husband and I recently stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary and couldn't be more HAPPY about where we chose to stay. It was PERFECT!! It is affordable, clean, quiet, and relaxing. My husband kept saying he felt like we were staying on a movie set because every little detail had been taken into consideration. The staff, including the manger, was very friendly, helpful and accessible. We will defiantly be back. It was a trip of a lifetime!!

Great little quaint place! Friendly staff and clean facilities. This is definitely worth staying more than one day so you can really enjoy the location. The beach with chairs and hammocks are phenomenal to check out the sunset and stars late at night.
