The Partners of Coombefield Veterinary Hospital decided last year to support Ferne Animal Sanctuary’s new fundraising. The latest donation of a little under £100 was raised by a raffle for a fantastic piece of wildlife art by local photographer James Brown. Mr Brown (right) is a client of Coombefield Vets and kindly donated one of his amazing photographs of a local deer. The prize was won by Local builder Mr Nigel Wyatt (Centre). Senior partner of the vets, Tim Lawrence (left) said, “It is a fantastic piece of art and we will be sorry to see it leave our practice where it has been on show for the last few months, but it is going to a very worthwhile cause, Ferne Animal Sanctuary do amazing work and we are proud to be able to support them and work with them”

If you want help learning how to remove a tick from your pet, please just call the practice, make an appointment to see a nurse (for free) and we can teach you - it really is quite easy

Fancy a wander round Coombefield Hospital ? Try the 360 tour. It is only in it's raw state at the moment but you can get an idea of what it is like behind the doors - where the public rarely get to go !

We run a small registered charity, Munchkins Miniature Shetland Rescue and are in our 3rd year of operation. As well as the charity we also have our own horses, ponies, cats, dogs and previously chickens. We have been clients at Coombefield for approx 12 years and have found all the vets, vet nurses, receptionists and everyone involved from small animal, to farm animal to equine to all be fantastic. With special thanks to Stuart, Philippa, Tim and Tessa in the equine department, who we seem to see almost weekly!

Highly recommend. Stuart was very thorough when investigating changes in my horses behaviour which I believed was down to pain. I had some of the 'best' vets around investigate and tell me they couldn't find anything and Stuart was able to find the cause of her pain and treat her. The staff in the hospital were very friendly when we spent the day in with her and helped make the day less stressful.

A friends dog need metal work, after the operation they admitted the operation had gone wrong and they had broken the metal work fitting it. Which ment they had to add extra wire, and to top it they then told this person they were lucky because even though the operation had taken longer they weren't going to charge more!

I have had regular contact with this vetinery practice for the last ten years, I rescue lots of elderly small animals and the care and attention we have received from the vets, nurses and admin staff has been excellent.Recently I took my very sick rabbit to them with a breathing problem..they discussed the treatment cost and probable outcome with me and saw us as an emergency, as the pet was so ill. The nursing staff were excellent..my pet was so poorly, she had to be oxygenated and hand fed with a pipette..without any doubt they saved her life and i am pleased to say, nearly.five days later, little mishka is making a good recovery and eating on her own again.Thank you all staff.. your dedication was amazing..kindest regards jennyd
