I have been to this place so many times but I never get tired of it! It's as authentic as you can get. If you prefer fancy rolls or cooked sushi (I'm judging you), this probably won't be that great for you. They stick with simple rolls and the freshest variety of fish you can get around this area. I always get the chirashi bowl without squid or octopus (not a fan of the texture or chewiness) - if you are not sure what you like, this is a great option since you get a variety of fish. I tried the tuna donburi last night and loved it! If you like mushrooms, there is a enoki mushroom soup that is just perfect. It is a wait for the sushi but be patient... it's all worth it!

Hands down the best Japanese restaurant in the area. The food is always fresh and delicious. We've been coming here regularly for more than 30 years as a family, and every meal is wonderful. From the sushi to the dinners to the red bean ice cream, it's just memorable. Our kids have moved away, and still love to go to Sagami when they visit. A real treasure.

I have been coming to Sagami for 24 years. I travel from Delaware County, PA to get there. My experience , has been consistently perfect! The , food, the staff, the Main Chef & his staff, friendly Amazing, AUTHENTIC ! The place feels like family to ours. Marlene is our first waitress we had when we went. She is fabulous , inviting & courteous. The other staff & all the same incredible Sushi Chefs IMPECCABLE! I can't say enough about our family's favorite place, anyone we have ever taken there loved it. I was a Newlywed when my Husband Joe and I first were invited by friends to go there. Now, 24 years later, had 4 Italian children RAISED on Sagami, they are so spoiled by Their Japanese cuisine, having California rolls with REAL LUMP CRABMEAT& not mysterious red & white imitation "crabmeat" the children , now adults , get when they go to any of the many Japanese Restaurants that are not nearly as Authentic as Sagami. When you as for sushi, the fish is a generous cut. Unlike the other places we experienced. I've had some sushi at places where it looks like there is so much rice and the fish looks like it was cut like lunchmeat . Thanks for listening, to critique, for anyone who read my entire rant& rave, lol ( and no they didn't pay me to right this) ...Gotta go, can't be late . We are celebrating another birthday at Sagami tonight . * you really should call for reservations if you are on a time restraint. They definitely take walk-ins , but it is a very popular.

Favorite Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. The food has been consistently amazing for all 20 years ive been going there. A local favorite, the prices are not bad for the fresh fish, and the service is surprisingly good for how constantly busy they are. Ask for the house dressing, the tuna donburi is unbeatable, as is the Chirashi.
