The food was awesome! Really good. The service down right pissed me off. If I wasn't on a date I would have gotten the management involved. I ordered the Diane, but since I'm on a low carb diet I asked to sub rice with broccoli. The server commented on how that was a good low starch option. I don't know who made the mistake (server or kitchen), but when my food came with broccoli and rice the server tried to make it seem like I didn't specify it as a substitution. I didn't say anything else because again I was on a date. This is obviously the server lying to cover the mistake because it was clear from previous conversation that he knew what I wanted. It was rude, dishonest, and condescending. I'll be back because the food was really good, but if I get the same sever I'll ask for a different one. He has red hair, a profound nose, and a beard.

Absolutely fine dining! Great Shrimp and Grits and peach bread pudding. Busy place, upper class clientele. Made an exception for this lowly traveler looking for good southern cooking and I was impressed with the Blackened Shrimp and Grits. Yum!

Love the spice! We were in town for my job this past weekend and decided we were in the mood for Cajun food. This place is in a super swank purple house in a neighborhood. The place was packed and I was so glad I had a reservation! We got there around 7:15 and people kept coming after us. I started with a Bell's Two Hearted from a nice little beer menu. At only $4 a bottle this is a great value. Then we split an appetizer of fried green tomatoes. I was so glad we decide to split since it was 5 very thick slices of tomato breaded and fried. The presentation could not have been better.

Cajun Queen in Charlotte, NC...I'll be brief. The food was good, an 8 out of 10. The service was 4 out of 10. Our reserved table was not ready. The server had a mild case of I don't give a crap, for example the server showed me where to find the specials so that I could read for myself. Manager was aware but oblivious. Parking is next to impossible. The parking leaves a very dark and sketchy trek to the restaurant, sort of back alley-esque. Felt like a scene out of Batman. Better come armed and ready for this walk. Oh wait, NO FIREARMS ALLOWED in Cajun Queen! That's right they have exercised their right. I suggest you exercise yours, DO NOT spend your money here. The food is good but it's not "To Die For." So many other great restaurants in Charlotte pass this one up.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Charotte for years. Even through multiple changes in management, the quality has stayed consistently high and the selection is great. Nothing else in Charlotte even comes close in terms of authentic Cajun cuisine.

Good crawfish and good oyster shooter if you are into that kind of thing. Comfortable atmosphere inside an older charlotte home is unique to the area. Live Jazz was very good, we stuck around for a few after dinner drinks to listen in.
