Great food, awful customer service. Sat by the bar and after almost 10 minutes of no one acknowledging me neither the bartender which looked at me a couple times nor the staff that walked pass me I had to go downstairs and ask for a table. Food was great as always but then asked the waiter to bring me my check since I was in a hurry to get back to work. Waited almost 10 minutes then he said the check will be right out when he then turned around and proceeded to take another tables order who had a party of 7. The other waitress on the floor had already cleared 3 tables that got there after me. The waiter returned with the bill and instead of running my card went to another table to take their order. I was fed up and went to the manager which he never apologized and instead made excuses on to-go orders taking a long time and backing the kitchen up. I have been to Cajun Queen a few times but this was my last. When a manager never apologizes and instead says "let's get you checked out of here" is when I take my business elsewhere.

Came to charlotte for C.I.A.A. This was one of our best meals while in charlotte. We pretty much ordered the entire meal and shared it all family style... It was pretty dope. Cant wait to come back

Have eaten here several times over the last year. Food good, Service good, Parking sucks. My big issue is with the crawfish.... its from China. Ok, its February and LA crawfish are scarce this early in the season. But they are always from China here. Even Razoos has crawfish from LA most of the time. So I have to order shrimp etouffee, (shrimp from the gulf) SHRIMP!!!!! etouffee...... makes me mad just to type it. No good crawfish = 3 star max for a "Cajun" restaurant.

Let me say, a lot of people have recommended this restaurant, both food critics and friends. So my partner and I went there last night for our anniversary. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Parking is extremely ... Odd. They have complimentary valet parking to make up for their lack of space, but we decided to forego it. We parked a block down the street and walked. The walk was neither scary nor dark; the restaurant is in a decent neighborhood. Our waiter was extremely friendly - no problems there. I got the crawfish etoufée. It was decent. A little too much black pepper for my tastes, but overall not bad, though I prefer Boudreaux's etoufée instead. So here it is 3:00am and I feel absolutely awful. I'm hoping that I have e. Coli rather than seafood poisoning. I've been throwing up for a half an hour. So far my partner is asleep. Hopefully he doesn't get sick as well. Needless to say, I will not be returning to the Cajun Queen.

This place is great. My food may have been a touch salty and spicy, but I would much rather have slightly over seasoned than bland. It was great! Crawfish Dianne and Chicken Dianne are fantastic. Great fried green tomatoes and pretty good bread. Plus the location is awesome too and staff was very friendly. Highly recommend this to anyone. They give HUGE portions so you may be able to share!

Had dinner on 4-4-15 with three other people, had reservations, came early, but was seated right away. Fried pickle started the evening and was very good. We tried the Diane entree with chicken and was good, sauce a little watery. Good portions. Etouffee with crawfish, chicken, shrimp was ok, but nothing great. Roux ( sauce) was bland, small sausage was added, but crawfish was to small to taste, chicken was soft, tender, shrimp was on the hard side due to size (small at best). Overall, service was very good (Brandon). Having eaten in New Orleans you cant compare this to that, but its not New Orleans. Would go again. Plan on spending at least 25.00 per person ( without booze).

My boyfriend and I love this restaurant! The Diane with crawfish is probably one of my favorite meals of all time. The atmosphere is nice, live Jazz music upstairs, and the service has always been excellent. I always take out of town guests here. The food is just amazing.

Parking is a competative sport for this neighborhood on a Saturday night. They had valet but I am too burgiouse. Our table was ready when we arrived, our service was acceptable. The fried Green Tomato appetizer was 8/10. It could have been less Al Dente. The remoulade sauce is a tangy horseradish cream. The waitress called it "Tomato Sauce", though I think that is due to its purpose, not the ingredients. The too yummy crusty rolls were unfortunately served with tiny sealed 1/2 oz. foil covered butter cups, they cheesed out the niceness of the atmosphere. Blue cheese sald dressing tasted homemade. We got both the Shrimp Scampi and also the Shrimp and Grits. Served deveined and tail on, both were delectable. The Shrimp with the Grits are blackened and served in a garlic-rich tomato grilled Andouille ragu. The clever chef pairs that richness with their smooth creamy grits. Great wine and cocktail menu too. I will have to try a few of those fancy coffee recipes later, at home. We had zero problem using our groupon and left a very nice tip to cover the full check value.

Cajun Queen hasn't shared anything with you.
