A very nice young man, Zachary F. waited on me ( Evie) when I stopped by to get a pair of glasses fixed. A side screw had come out and the lens was very loose. He fixed it and my glasses were back in very little time. While he was taking care of that detail, I looked around and my boyfriend ( John) picked out some more glasses for me to try on. Something a bit more "classy", more sophisticated. Zachery helped pick out a few more pairs. I decided after a number of looks in the mirror and even another young gal saying " those look really cool" to buy a pair. And they are more classy. I also bought a second pair of sunglasses with anti glare in a much different design but also very classy. So a big thank you to these two guys, my boyfriend ( John) who wants me to wear a classier pair of glasses and Zachary who knew what to look for. I am very happy with my glasses. And just in time for our soon to be "spring",. Thank you !!

Do not even waste your time. I am still waiting. I was told my glasses ( 1 pair) would be done on the 9th. No phone call. I called them, told they'd be done on the 15th. Waited and again no phone call. I called them 3 times in 1 1/2 hour period of time, no answer, no answering machine, rang and rang and then disconnected. Tried online chat, no response. Tried e mail, again no response. Twice I have gotten through to the store and was told the person was busy with a customer and they would get back to me. Guess what? No return phone call. Still waiting. My recommendation is to STAY AWAY!

Apr. 22, 2014 - Ordered "clear glass lenses". May 20 - Order ready. The order was not verified by staff. The lenses were shipped with a 'yellow tint'. I was told that the "re-order would be given a priority". Time passes - every attempt to inquiry about the order was met with a different excuse. July 2nd - I was told "the order has NOT been processed by the lab." ; I cancelled the order. July 26 - still waiting for a refund from Corporate. The staff will say anything to passive you, then the excuse changes with the next inquiry. Often, you will be only told 'half truths'. Upon further checking of the fact, you will find you were not told the whole truth. Conclusion: I can not convey to you in strong enough words my deepest disappointment in Stanton Optical.

The place seems a little on the dis-organized side and could improve in that sphere. Also seems to be constantly busy but the staff in my experience was friendly and eager to please. The few times I've been in here I have overheard a few complaints. They did mess up my order too and that troubled me because I'm paying good money, and glasses are kind of a big deal. I wish UV protection came standard but nope, thats an extra $15, and who knows if they mess it up and forget to put it on your lenses?! The selection is alright. I don't have much to compare it to as this is my first and only glasses-acquiring experience. I'd say shop around before settling for Stanton...

If there was any way to score the service in the negative, I would do it! Had an appt that I was 10 minutes early for to only walk out after 55 minutes of waiting to see the doctor. I was done with my pre-exam at 11:35 to be told the doctor had another appointment and he would be with me after that was done so feel free to browse the walls. At 12:25 pm, after NO one in the entire building spoke to me and I browsed the walls twice to find 4 pairs of glasses I was interested in purchasing, I walked out. Then to write a comment directly to Staton Optical customer service to only have them tell me someone would be in touch with me soon about my inquiry. To guess what? I am STILL waiting for them to contact me. It's been 10 days!!! Hello, horrible customer service!

Kari, we do apologize about any delays you've experienced in trying to write to us through our website. We are up and running and we are willing to help if you still are in the market for glasses or contacts. We have expanded our selection and our staff and we'd love for you to give us a second chance. Please give us a call at the store.

I took my daughter to Stanton Optical as a walk-in, not knowing if we would need to return for the exam. We were greeted immediately by one of the staff, who assisted us from the start all the way through to the end of the appointment. My daughter was able to be seen right away with no wait! The doctor and doctor's assistant were very helpful and professional and took their time to answer our questions and concerns thoroughly. Our experience exceeded our expectations and I would recommend Stanton Optical to anyone!

We went to the Stanton Optical on East Washington ave on April 12 and ordered 2 pairs of glasses for a total of $585. The cost was fair as we ordered polarized lenses, etc., however, we were told the glasses would be ready in 10-14 days. We called after 19 days and left a message for the manager to call us. Never received a call. Called again after 23 days and guess what? Never received a call. We FINALLY got our glasses yesterday, May 10! It took a Month! Customer service is non-existent. The Manager could care less as they don't expect return customers. Would NEVER go there again.

Went to the westside Stanton Optical last month. My wife and I were lured in by the ads that promise two pair of glasses for $39.00. The eye exam was fine and the doctor very professional. But, as soon as we left his office area with the lens prescriptions, the horrors began. Staff, would look at us, and just ignored us for at least 15 minutes-they were not busy at all. Then when we finally roped in a salesperson to help us, the pressure and upsell began. They never mention the $39 dollar special and when I asked, they showed me the choices-there were literally five frames I had to choose from, and none fit. There were virtually no low priced frames to choose from despite the tv commercials touting the selections. So, once frames were selected, at prices much higher than advertised, then the pressure to upsell add-ons to the lenses began. All sorts of different coatings were then pushed, each with an additional price tag. So, Our visit to Stanton to get a free eye exam and $39.00 glasses ended up costing over $650.00. Guess truth in advertising means nothing to Stanton
