Perfect hotel with some outstanding views, 10 min from windermere by foot. Restaurant offers a sophisticated menu with some delicious options and the food is exceptional. Highly recommended, I can't wait to go back

Ideal and right in the centre of everything for Students. Staff at the front desk are very helpful and knowledgeable and go out of their way to inform you on local tips and the best places to visit in Leeds. The rooms are comfortable and safe, always clean with better facilities than most luxury hotels.

Lovely cafe situation on the heart of Knaresborough near the castle. Service slow and a bit confused, but wouldn't normally complain or mind about that. Eventually ordered, then went to toilet… Cafe run out of tiny premises and only had a dirty wet towel hanging for everyone to use. I found it disgusting - walked past kitchen/serving/clearing up area on way to toilet - everything was mixed together (dirty plates, half-eaten food and food preparation area), couldn't see anyone washing hands/sink. Couldn't imagine cafe staying open if seen by environmental health inspectors.

Our drinks arrived and where just dropped in front of us on the table. The waiter never said a thing (not even, enjoy your drinks...) and just walked away. I ordered a cappuccino and the cup it came in wasn’t heat-protected meaning I couldn’t touch my drink without a napkin supporting it. We were halfway through our drinks approximately 30 minutes from sitting down and a waiter asked us nervously if we had finished our drinks so she could sit other customers who were waiting at the door. This was a disgusting experience and poor customer service.
