Another contribution to +Eric Nieudan 's Henry Justice Ford Monster Manual Project. I'm less satisfied with it. Feel free to comment or suggest something interesting.

The hunter’s hunter (Hooka)

Armour class: as magic (can only be hit by enchanted or holy weapons)
Hit dice: 6
Move: fast
Attacks: claws 2d4 / bite 1d8
No. appearing: 1
Morale: 12
Treasure: None
Alignment: Evil

In places where hunters take their toll of game, especially when they take pleasure of it, dead animals spirits assemble to form a vengeful evil entity called Hooka. It appears anytime of the day as a tall (2m50+) dark smoky form (humanoid or animal).
It roams in search of lone victims, preferably hunters or fishermen, but sheperds, travelers, merchants will also make good victims. It hides in trees, ponds, bushes, rocks or lakes and try to surprise its prey (2 in 6). Its usual way is to jump at his prey’s throat and bleed it to death.
Hooka will only vanish from this world after his vengeance is done, which means killing up to 2d12 victims.
Local people know that a proper human sacrifice can keep Hooka away from their village and even make it disappear from this earth if many lives are offered this way.

My little contribution to +Eric Nieudan 's Henry Justice Ford Monster Manual Project. Also a reminder of a good game we had while testing a game of mine. My english is really poor, sorry. Eric, feel free to correct anything as it pleases you.

Island Cyclops

Armour class: as leather
Hit dice: 6
Move: fast and swim
Attacks: fists 1d8, giant club 2d6, thrown big rocks 3d6
No. Appearing: 2-24
Morale: 10
Treasure: Poor
Alignment: Chaotic

These once evil wrecker giants used to lure ships on reefs with decoy beacons. When they sunk a whole congregation of Mother Peace priests, they suffered a strange curse from the goddess herself who transformed them into harmless giant hippies, only living for lazy naps on the beach, laugh shrooms, homemade wine and delicate food.
But the curse also made them a reputation of ferocious treasure hoarders, bringing, day after day, endless parties of murder-hobo adventurers seeking fortune and glory on the island.
Although they’re quite peacefull, Island Cyclops don’t like to be bothered and treat those intruders as cows would do with flies. They even created a rock throwing game of their own, counting the number of boats sinked this way by erecting standing stones almost anywhere on the island.
Those intelligent enough to try a peaceful approach soon discover that the Cyclops treasure cooking pots above all and will trade real surprising things found in wrecks, but of no value to them, for a good quality pan, pot or casserole. Of course, they have to be of the right (giant) size.
