Returned last night from five days at the 11th annual GI Film Festival in D.C. last night. We'd done the web development for them.
Really, REALLY appreciate the opportunity to have been part of the festival team that does so much for our service men & women.
- Stories that need to be told.
- Stories that need to be heard.
- An opportunity for service men & women entering or working in the film industry.
- Catharsis for both the filmmakers and audience members.
- For many it's an opportunity to express their appreciation, love and respect. This extends to the sponsors also. They all have an important and personal connection that drives their involvement.
And for many, it's simply about getting together, kicking back and just having some fun with others who have deep and personal interests and values in common.
It was an exceptional experience.
Glad to have been part of the team.
Thank you.

Interesting point.
Or it could simply be the economics of car ownership relative to incomes.
“When the economists adjusted the buying behavior of different age groups for income, employment status and some demographic factors (marriage, children, education, race), they found few differences. “Economic factors,” as opposed to “permanent shifts in tastes and preferences,” shaped car sales.”

Not only do-able, it's already being adopted in other U.S. cities.
Works within existing footprint of intersections. Improves safety. Encourages greater use for work, play... school.
