Who Has the Best Smile In Hollywood?
Kourosh Maddahi, DDS, says, “Julia Roberts has a naturally wide, beautiful smile. Normally when someone smiles you see between eight and 10 upper teeth. But when Julia smiles, she shows 12 to 14 teeth, from cheek to cheek, and they're all straight and white.” (Source WebMD) Facebook friends: What do YOU think?

She's a Model and She's Looking Good!
According to Kourosh Maddahi, DDS, a cosmetic dentist in Beverly Hills, California, his fashion model patients maintain gorgeous smiles by taking precautions. “Models work very long hours and they drink a lot of coffee and cola. I always wondered how they could do that without staining their teeth,” he says. “It turns out some models drink these beverages through a straw. The downside of that is you can end up with smoker's lines because you're always puckering your mouth. Other models have a better method: They drink teeth-staining beverages from a cup that has a lid and an opening-like a classic Starbucks lid. That way the liquid goes right to the back of your throat without making contact with your teeth.” (Source WebMD)

According to a study in The American Journal of Pathology, early bisphenol A (BPA) exposure may damage a child's tooth enamel. BPA is a chemical compound used in the composition of plastics and resins. It is used, for example, to manufacture food containers such as bottles or babies' bottles and is used in some dental sealants. Recent studies have shown that this industrial compound has adverse effects on the reproduction, development and metabolism of laboratory animals, a news release from Inserm stated, and it is strongly suspected of having the same effects on humans. Using BPA leads to mineral depletion, making the teeth more fragile and more liable to cavities. (Source Journal of the CDA)
