I have been here many times since my original review that I had to update it.My nurse and I came for a quick lunch on a weekday. who has served us before, is always prompt, courteous, and of course, funny. He knows his menu and even surprised us with a chef's special Ragu served on polenta. The delish Ragu was a chicken garlic sauce, hearty and full.My friend Sirenia ordered a long time favorite the spicy shrimp spaghetti puttanesca. Always served with super delish shrimp and the best tomato sauce ever.I ordered the autumn chopped salad which included a crispy quinoa and grapes along with bacon.Too bad it was lunch time at work because Sergio always suggests the best red wines to pair our meals with... Next time for dinner for sure.Just a shout out to the Urbana Group for always having consistent service, super delish food, and the best decor compared to many restaurants. I always can pop in here for either a drink, a quick meeting, or a several hour dinner, and I am always accommodated well. Thanks team!!

Food tasted great once it was cooked. Both our steaks were grossly undercooked. After sending them back it tasted good but not great. Prices are unneccessarily high -- You'll pay $50 for a $12 bottle of wine, $7.50 for sparkling water, etc. But hey, that's DC.

Went here to celebrate a birthday and found the service to be rather impressing. Our waitress was outstanding with our reservation our table was decorated with confetti and we were even brought a dessert complimentary. Our waitress told us that if we didn't like the dessert she would buy us whichever one we wanted from the menu. In addition to the service, the food was great as well.

Who doesn't love Capital Grille? I can only afford to eat here when my parents or their friends are in town to pay for it, but it's SO worth it. The atmosphere is very "power DC" - dark, lots of fabric, booths/separations to feel more intimate, and older artwork etc. There were two of us and Tony was our server. He was fantastic- very attentive and made excellent recommendations. We had the lump crab and prosciutto wrapped mozarella appetizers. The light sauce on the crab was creamy with a hint of horseradish that was perfect, and the prosciutto wrapped mozarella was salty and crunchy and creamy at the same time. For entrees we both had the porcini rubbed delmonicos with aged balsamic- be warned, they are ENORMOUS. I couldn't even eat half, but it was so delicious. Tender and lots of marbling. We also had a lobster craving so we split the 2 lb steamed lobster, which was sweet and tender and delicious as well. Tony recommended an excellent red wine (I forget the label and type) that was $185/bottle, and it was delicious and paired well with the steaks. Dessert was coconut cream pie that was creamy and sweet and just the right amount of coconut flakiness. Overall, it was an amazing meal, but at $500 for two people I wish I could afford to eat here more often!!! The service is always amazing and the food is perfectly cooked. This would be perfect for a special occasion dinner if you have the money to spend!

The food is amazing! If you like steak then this is the place for you. The quality of meat is excellent & they do a wonderful job of preparing it. Tonight we had the pleasure of having Tom serve us. He did an amazing job, once he knew our preferences he did a fantastic job of guiding us in the right direction. His recommendations were excellent & service was top notch.

I'm typically a fan of the Capital Grille, but this was disappointing. The ingredients were high quality, but the salmon and scallops were both over cooked, the wine was not appropriately chilled, and the service was impersonal. I expect more for the money.

Phenomenal dining experience in the Nation's capital. The variety of top notch steaks, in conjunction to the view and meticulous service made our dining experience one of the best trips we've had in awhile.
