Although superstar chef Tom Colicchio opened his first Craft restaurant in New York in 2001, Craft Los Angeles has become a decidedly LA institution.

Took my boyfriend here for his obligatory birthday steak dinner, it was DELICIOUS. We sat at the bar for a bit while they got our table ready. The bartender recommended me the perfect drink on the cocktail menu when I told him I wanted something light, sweet and fruity. I forgot the name but it had champagne and strawberries in it. They gave us a personalized menu with a birthday message and his name on top. After we ordered, we snacked on some bread and a complimentary mini salmon appetizer (?). Flat Iron Steak: Delicious! I loved the sauce that it was drenched in. Rib Eye: $105...ouch! It's the only dish that came with a side of bone marrow. In my opinion the bone marrow presentation was nice but the taste was underwhelming. The ribe eye was AMAZING! Very flavorful with some fattiness, which my boyfriend loved. The only downside is that the steaks were all sliced, which cooled down the meat faster. Gratin: It tasted like potato gratin... not sure what else to say about this dish lol I needed starch to balance out my meat. Goodies: We got to take home two mini bags of granola and nuts. I had it for breakfast with almond milk, honey and some blueberries. YUM! Parking: Free when validated

This is the one of the best atmospheres to dine in with. Quiet and beautiful. The waiter service is excellent. Highly recommended.

I've wanted to try Craft for so long, and I was heartbroken when I left New York. So when restaurant week came along, I jumped at the chance. The restaurant was beautiful, and the appetizers were amazingly polished. The Beet & Avocado Salad had gorgeous colors, and the fresh beets had a flavor that was out of this world. The Wild Mushroom Toast was just as amazing, a soft paste of ricotta spackled with soft, juicy bits of mushroom. Unfortunately, all the entrees were disappointing. The Texas Quail was well-made, but the generic, grocery-store Andouille Sausage left a lot to be desired, the Mugifuji Pork was perfectly cooked but a bit bland, and the Whole Wheat Orecchiette was swimming in water. The Banana Bread Pudding barely tasted like banana, but the Meyer Lemon Sherbet Pie was amazing. The cardamom meringue reverberates with a breathtaking citrus, but despite this delicious dessert, the end wasn't worth the means.

I went here for a team holiday lunch ~2011. We had a the pre-fix menu and it was very good food. The pumpkin soup was delicious but tasted more like pumpkin pie. I had the skate - it was my first time and I would definitely get it again. I'd love to come back some time for the regular menu.

Awesome breakfast and lunch menu. Gets really busy so prepare to wait for a seat on the weekends. Their turkey burger is the best I've eaten.

I heard a lot about this restaurant and finally was able to go. Have to say that I was pretty disappointing - food was only o.k., thought it will be more than that.

Came here for my birthday... The location is strange and is a bit of a maze to get from the parking lot to the front door. My fiance and I are total foodies, and I work in kitchens plua I'm a big fan of top chef so when. I got a gift card for craft I was excited . We sat down and our menus said HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMIE! (Very fun gesture and I got to keep the menu) We were given spoonfulls of a bite of eggplant and gonganzola that was super yummy. Service was great we ordered the flat iron steak, the salmon , arugala salad and our favorite, a side of hen of the woods mushrooms. The steak and mushrooms were perfect and so tasty, the salmon was decent , but those mushrooms and steak were drool worthy. Because it was my birthday they brought out a death by chocolate chocolate cake that was sinfully yummy. We will be coming back for more . Yesssssssssss. They gave us goodies of granola to take home.. most tasty granola we've ever had.

One of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. Every time I have visited, the food is always delicious: unfussy preparations that put the high-quality ingredients on the center stage. The dining room is airy and I really appreciate that it's not loud in this restaurant--you can actually have a conversation with your friends at a normal volume.
