Everyday we are faced with choices. Some of them we can avoid and some we cannot. However, one choice that we can always make is about what we choose to put inside our bodies. This article in Consumer Reports Magazine published September 2016 titled "15 Supplement Ingredients to Always Avoid" shows a surprising list of ingredients found in over-the-counter dietary-supplements available online and in major stores such as GNC, Costco, CVS, Walmart and Whole Foods. Many of the ingredients on this list also have the potential to interact with prescription medications. Remember to ALWAYS read the labels of any dietary-supplements and to be aware of the possibility of adverse reactions.

This month, Dr. Michael S. George served in an event sponsored by the University of Colorado School of Medicine Office of Continuing Medical Education discussing the Evaluation and Management of the Injured Rodeo Athlete. Dr. Michael George specializes in orthopaedic sports medicine and has been a team physician for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
