Happy to see pull request to Apache Lucene & Solr with luke https://github.com/apache/lucene-solr/pull/420 The project has been an effort of several years.

1. First challenge was to assume ownership of luke from Andrzej Bialecki, who gave me his blessing at the Lucene Revolution conference in Dublin in 2013.
2. Then I had to Keep up with updates, fixing numerous bugs reported by Luke users.
3. Enhancing little bits of infrastructure around luke, that made using it easier.
4. Porting from thinlet to JavaFX to become fully ALv2 compliant.
5. Building a community, communicating about releases, mentioning luke on conferences and forums. As a result we now have 954 stars on github.
6. Blogposts are written about using luke by various tech companies around the globe.

I'd like to thank Tomoko Uchida, my co-committer on the luke project for her consistent focus and contribution. Please support the PR if you care about luke!
