Just attended the MPI-WI Chapter Spring Education Day at Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan. One of the keynotes covered security and how to respond to an active shooter. In the training, we are told to deny entry to anyone who 'sets off our alarm bells' and call security and the police to come meet the person. One exercise I would like to see role-played: you are told to trust your gut instincts and deny entry to an event to someone who is setting off your alarm bells. I think this would be a valuable role-play because 'Midwest-nice' makes it hard for many of us to act the way the training tells us to act.
