I'd wanted to check this place out for some time now but just visited for my first time today and was very pleased. Styled as a coffee bar, you place your order at the cash where you can either take out or have your food served brought to your table in the restaurant. The sandwiches are outstanding and a great value too. A very good sized and delicious piri piri chicken sandwich for $6.49 totally blows away other sandwich places where you're paying upwards of $10. Very friendly service.

I've stopped buying food at almost all other establishments in the area. Whatever I want, Locomotive has something that will satisfy me. They have a wide array of sandwiches and salads, as well as a nice selection of treats like brownies, date squares and banana loafs. Their food goes great with their coffee. They do a different cappuccino than anyone else in the area and it goes great with a sandwich or a desert. One of my favourite things to get is their breakfast sandwich which comes with bacon, tomatoes, cheese, and an egg in between a pressed bun topped with some rosemary and olive oil. The prices are great, and the staff is extremely friendly. You'll almost always see one of the two owners Paul and Vito behind the counter.

Great coffee, and they even made a bread less sandwich to accommodate my Gluten-free diet!

Almond lattes are really good and subtle tasting. I had egg sandwich as well and it was delicious
