I used to own this paddle. I had to switch back to my Jet300 because the Jet600 was too heavy for my game. I sold it to someone who liked heavier paddles and had an attacking style of play.

It definitely puts a lot of spin on the ball. However, because of the weight of the paddle, it made my shots go straighter rather than loop over the net. Opponent's fast shots would rebound right back quickly, so you better be able to control it.

One weird thing about this paddle was the inconsistent sound it made when smashing the ball. Sometimes a "broken" sound, sometimes a "dead" sound. Others have complained about the vibration in the handle.

Overall it seemed to suit a blocking and forehand attacking game. I was more of a wrist flicking backhand player so the weight of the paddle hurt my wrists over time.

It's true, people do prefer to be surrounded by content, people, and beliefs they agree with. Social media apparently magnifies this.

"Much social research shows that people prefer to receive information that they agree with instead of information that challenges their beliefs. This problem is compounded when social networks recommend content based on what users already like and on what people similar to them also like."
Computer scientists have discovered a way to number-crunch an individual’s own preferences to recommend content from others with opposing views. The goal? To burst the “filter bubble” that surrounds us with people we like and content that we agree with.

I bet most people didn't even know there were toxic chemicals in furniture. Good to know it's no longer required.

It’s Official: Toxic Flame Retardants No Longer Required in Furniture

“It’s wonderful, after years of work, to see this become a reality” said Arlene Blum, a visiting scholar in chemistry at the University of California Berkeley and director of the Green Science Policy Institute.

“I was practically screaming with happiness,” said Blum, who’s been working on the flame retardant issue since the 1970s.

Potential Moto X buyers beware! I discovered, over the weekend, that there is actually a difference between the white and black versions of the Moto X besides just the color. The black versions have a more "grippy" back cover than the white versions. Had I known this earlier, I would have went with the black version.

For the most part, this is pretty true.

moto x HELP!  -

Hi everyone, I broke my Moto X today. I dropped it on a baby swing and now the screen is unresponsive. The colors are screwed up. No physical damage though.  I have requested a replacement and will need to send the broken one in. Just one concern though: All my photos and files are on the phone. I backed most it up but I'm just paranoid that the people 'refurbishing' these phones will go through my data. Anyone know how to do a factory reset on this device with a bad screen?

Another DIY tip. When you need to hang something, photo copy the back and use as a template..... that is.... If you have a copier and don't mind wasting paper.

Perfectly aligned holes every time--a nice hack for Sunday afternoon projects.

And now that you know where the holes are to be placed, here's how you drill (http://to.ehow.com/1bAVVKw) without destroying your plaster walls.
