Their roast beef po-boy is one of my favorites in the city. Instead of drowning the beef in gravy, it is juicy and flavorful. Their bread is to die for and while I only intend to eat half and save half for later, I always eat the whole thing. I kept one star for the fact that the one on Delachaise is closed on Saturday. PLEASE open if only for a limited number of hours!

In a town desperate for a sandwich that’s not a po-boy I think this place does a good job for lunch. Basically all of the sandwiches can also be made into salads too. They use a delicious and fattening bread that makes you feel like the Atkins diet is in your future but never the less it makes the sandwiches delicious. It’s located right next to Touro hospital so they get a big lunch crowd and the owners in there remember your name and sometimes even your order. It’s a solid pick for a sandwich or lunch salad with some unique combinations.

Wow. I just had the starter sammich called the Thai Chili Chicken and was entirely blown away. Crispy..sweet..bit of heat..insane mozzarella melting every bite. Ive lived in NoLa a very short time but have had the "best" poboys like Parasols to Johnnys to Parkways. Never had a better tasting poboy. Customers even get a sucker for after...best part? Only $7. Great portions too.

I wanted a white Russian! The hell kind of bar is this??? The food was spot on, though. 8.2653214/10 would ingest their offerings again.

Get a sandwich and a shake and it'll be the best decision you make that day. Any day.

I rarely write reviews for restaurants online but this place deserves the effort to do so. One of the best, if not THE best, sandwiches in the city. I've tried about half of the menu so far and everything has been absolutely great. For the price, you get a good amount of food (2 meals for a weaker man), and I've never had it take longer than 10 minutes for my food to be ready. The best thing about the Milk Bar, however, is the staff. Each one of them know me by name, even though I may not have been there for a few months. I've placed to go orders on the phone, showed up 10 minutes later to realize there is a long line, and they've come out of the kitchen to ring me up and get me on my way while the guy at the counter was still trying to decide what to order. The customer service: excellent. Would highly recommend
