I'm not a fan of critical illness insurance because the policies pay out only if you get sick or injured the "right way." I also don't think half of a premium should go to the sales person in commission.

Workplaces are a microcosm of society and struggling to find a balance between comprehensive and affordability. We also face the same challenging question of who is prepared to pay what for whom. ASHA staff are all in the same risk pool, so we are all in this together. To keep our premiums affordable, we have to make tradeoffs. These are tough, value-laden decisions and when you’re making value-laden decisions, how you decide becomes very important.
