Latest on Renulek's Spring Doily.
If you notice, I am tatting Round 7 slightly different from Renulek's pattern; I have chosen not to tat the floating rings in this round. I will add that in when I do Round 8 since I plan to make the floating rings in a different colour than the brown that I am using in Round 7.

Finished a UFO that decided to fly back in after being gone for a few years!
I tatted the final round slightly different from the original pattern. Instead of picots in the long chains of the final round I tatted floating Josephine knots (JK). I felt that it looks more 'finished' with the JKs instead of the picots. While waiting for the doily to be blocked, ...

Jan Stawasz's motif from the book "Tatted Treasures".  A pretty little motif and quite easy to tat if not for is method of placing picots between the first and second halves of the double stitches.  Miscounted a few time because of that.
I tried my best to follow his instruction on making the picot within a double stitch, i.e placing the picot between the first half and the second half of the double stitch. It was not easy getting used to it, sometime I got it, other times I slipped back into the usual method.

I was considering adding a few more rows to it, maybe repeating the scallops, but I think it lokks just nice as it is. The finished doily is about 8 inches wide or 21cm, tatted with Milford 40. Eventhough it says size 40, the thread feels like a size 30 to me. Despite some twisting, it is a ...

I will try to tat your bracelet Peas-in-a-Pod.
Story
Introduction
I tat a lot, as in making handmade lace.  There is nothing about tattoos here, only about making delicate lace from  thread.  Stay a while and browse through, even if you think you have reached here by mistake.  You may like what you see, :).

If you have any questions about my tatting and my patterns, please send me an e-mail.

And, just so you don't get it wrong, I am female.
