Red sauce Italian-American in a very swanky part of town, our new "seaport" district. Moderate prices but upscale atmosphere. This is where we bring the family whenever there is a great show at the Harborlights Pavilion. You won't find any chestnut ravioli but you will find plenty of the usual picata, marsala, and saltimboca dishes, and pizza of course.

we ordered the calamari appetizer, and I ordered the broccoli and chicken Alfredo for my entree, and it was the best Italian food I've ever had. The Alfredo sauce was amazing! I wish that they had a location in my city. The only bad thing was that we made a reservation, but we still had to wait for about 30 minutes when we got there because they said that some big groups walked in.

Absolutely fantastic pizzas. I can't speak to the experience of eating in, but for the past four years my group of friends has made "Salvatore's takeout and hotel room gaming" a recurring part of our PAX East experience, and the food is always fantastic. We have tried most of their offering, but some favorites we keep returning to are the Mushroom Florentine (a white pizza with roasted garlic, mushrooms, onions, spinach and ricotta), and their Chicken Pesto. Their salads are also quite good. The best part? Despite being slammed on a weekend with 60,000+ people attending a convention locally, they still had our order ready in about 30 minutes. Amazing for even a non-busy pizza place, but exceptional under the circumstances. Highly recommended for takeout.

We came here once for dinner and had some really good food, but appetizers and fish. Then again for an event where the bar and back room were separated for some privacy. Very friendly staff.

A few friends of mine visit Salvatore's when we come to the PAX East convention in Boston. Salvatore's is usually our first night's dinner. It's a bit fancy for my taste, but very good food. I'm used to Americanized Italian food, and that's what Salvatore's does NOT do. All the food is very fresh, very good, and comes in very large portions. Go hungry if you plan to eat everything. I will definitely go again.

Overly dressed salad and 'bolognese' with sausage and wine was subpar. My colleague said it best: "Better than Olive Garden". Staff was nice...

Visiting Boston for a conference, stopped by here. Had the bruschetta burger and it was really good! Their bread and pesto spread before the meal also good. I had a white wine sangria that was good and strong. Food is reasonably priced and they weren't too busy in the evening when we decided to go.
