For model railroaders, the folks at Maker Faire are our people: folks with many different interests who all want to make things with their own hands, use those things, and share them with a community of folks who appreciate what we've made.
This weekend's Maker Faire in San Mateo is a great, World's Fair of crazy people making crazy things. Maker Faire also hints at how we ought to be sharing the model railroad hobby with others.
