Sure it's early days on the platform, but as it matures and you start getting more followers, simply lumping everyone into the Friends or Acquaintances circles will soon become unruly.
You could think about creating Circles by:
People at an event
Doing this will make it far easier to keep in touch with what particular groups are saying and will also allow you to be far more targeted with your content.
I know, I know - setting these things up and maintaining them can be a right pain in the arse, but getting organised like this from the outset will mean you get more value from your time on Google+.

At work Allan gets paid to advise clients on how they can use social media to grow their business. Though he tries to deny it, he is a bit of a geek and would be happily tinkering with new software, applications and technology even if he wasn't getting paid for it. (If his boss is reading this, that last bit was only a joke!)
At home Allan likes to entertain his stunning wife with his homemade Chilli and comical impressions of MC Hammer. He also likes to play marathon games of ‘I spy’ with his 3 year old daughter and distract his 1 year old son in order to steal his chocolate buttons.
