Fantastic food and wine, really great atmosphere. However, too pricy as extra charges applied that weren't mentioned on the bill.

The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere with a lot of wine bottles stored throughout the restaurant for decoration. Some of the empty and open bottles seem to attract fruit flies though. Landing on our wine glasses (filled with a delicious Chianti by the way) and our food. Something that bothered us throughout the whole dinner. Besides the little flies, I did enjoy the food a lot. They have a nice variety of starters. I chose the vitello tonnato, but they didn't have that anymore. Something that would have been nice mentioning when the menus were handed out. I decided to go for the special of the day instead, which was bresaola with buffalo mozzarella and some cherry tomatoes. Definitely a nice dish, but when the bill came, I felt tricked. I think it's not normal to not mention any price when you sum up the specials of the day and then put the special, which was not THAT special, on the bill for twice the price of a normal starter. As a main I had the ravioli with a hint of truffle and a nice butter and sage sauce. It was great of taste, but an in-Italian small portion. Without the flies, the excessively expensive starter and with mentioning the lack of vitello tonnato earlier I would have rated this restaurant 4*, but the dining experience was just way too bad for that.

Food-wise I'd give it a 3-star, but overall it wasn't with more than 2. Started with spicy garlic shrimps - baked in butter with hardly any garlic and not really spicy. Then the chef's speciality, pappardelle with ragu - was too salty, ingredients were good though. Also there were little flies (fruitflies?) flying around and sitting on the wine glasses, pretty annoying. Heard good things about this place, but it felt more like a tourist trap, too bad, better go to the place opposite this one.

This is the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The food was excellent, my steak was sublime. If they had a few more beer choices, I would give it 6 stars.

Food is five star, price is kinda high, especially for wine, but the food saw so good I'd thoroughly recommend. It's very simple and so good

One of our favourite Italian restaurants in Dublin, always go here for a special occasion, the food and the staff always consistently amazing, they also have a lovely reasonably priced wine list, (always take the recommendation from Roman) don’t believe the 1 and 2 star reviewers, I’m a local and have never had one bad experience in this place and I will be back again and again!

Great value hearty food (fabulous homemade parmigiana, outrageous risotto and marvelous desserts), luxurious treat and excellent wine. The best premium Italian restaurant in Dublin and one of the most memorable outside Italy I have ever tried- great place for couples dining- special occasions.
