It was great to be able to call and get mypet in the same afternoon. I had no idea what was wrong with him and being brand new to the area it certainly made me feel good about the people and the services received. they made my pet feel at home and answered all my questions. It was a great relief to know I could ask questions and get straight answers. My visit went well and he is healing very nicely. Thank you for all you did and especially being able to schedule me in that same day.....Thank You

Dr. Gallagher and his support staff are always courteous, caring and compassionate to you and your needs. Not only do they treat the animal based on the scheduled visit, but they also educate the owner on health care issues improving the animal's quality of life.

My dog gets a bit grumpy when he meets new people so glad they treat him well and understand how to act with him! Great vet for any kind of animal even a 200lb grumpy dog!

Dr Gallagher and staff took care of our chocolate lab named Lucy for many years . Always explained things very well , We had to put her to sleep and they did it with thoughtfulness and respect. We now have a labrador mix.and she is also in the care of Dr Gallagher and staff.

Dr. Gallagher has played a large role in our family. We lost our pup, Teagan to cancer in February, 2014 at only a year & 1/2. Loosing Teagan was extremely hard on our family. Dr. Gallagher helped Teagan be comfortable, was caring & honest with us and spoke to us in a manner of true respect. We were blessed to have Dr. Gallagher's support & compassion when our family needed it most. We continue to see Dr. Gallagher and his staff as they continue to give care to our other puppy Rasta.

I have been taking my pets to Northwoods Veterinary Clinic for 15yrs. Dr. Gallagher and his staff are wonderful with our pets and when we lost our beloved Jericho unexpectedly on a weekend in May , I stopped in the clinic to let Dr. Gallagher know about Jericho and even though he was extremely busy he took time to comfort me and assure me that based on the information I gave him about what happened , putting Jericho down was the right thing to do. Thank You Dr. Gallagher and staff for the continued health care given to Chyna, Zues, Max and Lily.

We have been going to Northwoods for quite a while. Got two more Great Pyrenees when our other two passed on. Both are now 4yrs & 5mos. One has an autoimmune condition which requires quite a few visits to see Dr. Gallagher. The staff there is great and take good care of both girls. Starr's condition is rare but Dr. Gallagher will seek advice elsewhere if necessary.

Thank you for trusting us as we help you care for both of your beautiful dogs!

With the outbreak of Canine flu in Chicago and confirmed cases in southern Wisconsin people have lots of questions.  Here is what you need to know about the Canine flu.  If your dog is experiencing any coughing, nasal discharge, lack of appetite and/or lethargy call the vet and try to keep him isolated from other pets.

This excellent website has a ton of information about how parasites can affect your pet and you.  We recommend at least yearly internal parasite screenings, all we need from your pet is a stool sample.

It's easy and affordable to protect your pet from heartworm disease. But treating heartworm disease once your pet has it is difficult, costly and can be life threatening. If your pet is not on a year-round monthly heartworm preventative they are at risk.

Here are some great ideas for making your pet's trip to the vet a fun and rewarding experience!  We always encourage owners to bring their pet in "just for fun" anytime so that they can learn the vet isn't always about being poked and prodded.  Stop in and get a weight, or just say Hi!  We've always got a treat!
