A new Emerging Drug Trends report that looks at how socioeconomic status, school environments and parenting practices influence youth substance use. When it comes to addiction, our own Dr. Joseph Lee says be careful of trying too hard to pin the source on social justice, inequity or other issues. “It’s a cruel stigma to say addiction is just a downstream byproduct of something else,” he says.
