Happening now is an urban "can-castle" building event! Design teams compete to construct amazing structures using only canned food! This competition is taking place in Pioneer Place downtown and supports the Oregon Food Bank. Prepare to be amazed!

Hotel Modera, proud sponsor of the Portland Opera, is thrilled to hear that Portland Opera regular, Richard Troxell, was the voice of Jay Leno in the recent skit announcing that Jimmy Fallon is to replace Jay Leno on The Tonight Show!  (http://goo.gl/PebM0)

Food at Nel Centro was truly gourmet and the firepits were so welcoming. We and our daughter loved it.

It's a nice place and the location is walking distance to lots of activities. Getting to the east side of the river is an easy trip on the nearby bus stop......be adventurous. I was more than a little bummed that I couldn't get a fresh cup of coffee with cream without going to the restaurant.....luckily coffee shops can be found within a couple of blocks. The staff was nice. It wasn't spectacular, so I'll probably try some other place the next time I'm in town.

A complete RIP OFF!!! This place has hidden fees everywhere. Our stay there costed way more than they said it would. They charge $7.50 A MINUTE for an in state call!!! Food was terrible at the restaurant. It has a cold, corporate - money grubbing vibe throughout. There are many other hotels in the area that cost less and deliver way more.

Had a great stay this past weekend at Hotel Modera. Every staff member we interacted with was polite, professional and very helpful. Rooms were very nice and clean. The restaurant/bar downstairs has great pizza too! One of the front staff members, Dane, even helped me track down where to buy the piggy bank ornament in the lobby that I made a comment about. Highly recommended!

This was a first - a hotel were the restaurant is not only good, but it was great! The room was fairly standard and comfortable (my only complaint was the sliding bathroom door - make sure you are comfortable with anyone you share a room with). However, the restaurant/bar was really good - the food was great, the happy hour specials amazing, and the drink menu was good. The location was near light rail and we were able to walk to the Saturday Farmer's Market. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone going to Portland.
